How many ressies do you book?

IT actually worked out - We got Italy for lunch and California Grill during fireworks. I call twice a day - afternoon-ish when people are on lunch breaks. And just right before closing time.

disneyjunkie I really get offended when you pay extra for concierge and they can't get you what you want. I don't mean that selfishly - the last time we stayed concierge @ Beach Club - we couldn't get dinners we wanted and we were really flexible. Couldn't get tee times - No BBB. I like the old way Concierge used to book - u had the same person when ever you called now it's luck of the draw. And some cast members are better than others. They enjoy the magic of making someone's trip special and memorable.

lacrosse_lady72 My situation isn't about planning it was last minute surprise for my husbands bday. When I have a trip far enough out I make sure we get all our ADR's. But being so close - making an unexpected trip to the parks makes it difficult for locals to get dining in the parks.

lacrosse_lady72There are situations where you can't help missing an ADR, like your plane. And having a back up in that case is understandable.

But the people who always try to manipulate the system will always do it and ruin it for everyone.

I too think about those poor folks who make their first trip to WDW during a holiday (or these days, most any other) period. A family stays off property, sleeps until about 10, and goes to the MK on the 4th of July for a look-around. Lordy. They are gonna leave the park not having much good to say about Disney. And it didn't have to be that way.

I routinely tell folks that even some rudimentary planning will save a lot of grief. As another poster said, it's pretty much an equal opportunity endeavor. And while concierges can work some wonders, if there's nothing available, there's nothing available, y'know? Because other guests have been using concierge services, too.

But, dear OP, I'm glad you got what you were looking for.

I always book a TS dinner for every night of our stay, no matter how long or how short the stay because we like to unwind with a nice TS at night.

For a short stay I book one TS breakfast on our departure day and for a longer stay I book 2-4 TS breakfasts.

For a long stay I will book 3-4 TS lunches too.

I will admit that we do cancel them alot but that is all DH's fault, hey thats my story and I am sticking to it!

WOW People must be in a panic and cancelling trips because of this flu scare.

I can't say that I'd wanna fly right now either.

I called today - (BTW did I mention that my hard drive crashed and had to be shipped out to a clean room to be SAVED..still crossing my fingers that they can save most of my stuff.) - and could have got Le Cellier, Cinderella's table for dinner or Ohana's. Apparently people are cancelling left and right.

Be safe - and stay healthy
