How many PS's do you book per trip ?

How many PS's do you book prior to arrival at WDW ?

  • None , I hate PS's !

  • Between 1 & 3 usually

  • More like 4 to 6 is my style

  • 7 to 10 is the norm for me

  • 10 to 20 even if I'm on a diet

  • More than 20 , I PS every meal of my trip

I'm just curious to know how many Priority Seatings do you book before you reach WDW ? Please participate in the poll & do not include those PS's made during your stay at WDW...Only those made prior to arrival are to be counted...OK ?

Thanks board-mates

Of course, this makes more sense in the context of the number of days one is going to be there.

this is our first trip and we decided to make one PS per day. It was difficult to choose and happily we got all the ones we wanted.

Every trip is so different, it is hard to say. Our last trip was 7 nights and we only made 1 PS, the trip before was 4 nights and we made 5 PS's.

Normally 1 PS per day for dinner, but now that we have discovered the AKL and Boma we have added 3 PS for breakfast during our 8 day stays in the World.

We PS for two meals a day -- but I don't think we over-eat! We just aren't snackers, and the restaurants are like attractions for us! We never buy those Mickey ice cream bars or turkey legs (yuck!) or popcorn....maybe a glass of wine at Epcot, but that's it. We like to sit down and relax in a hopefully over the top themed restaurant!

I voted 1-3 but for my trip in March, 2000 I had more like 20 or more. A character breakfast every morning to entertain my 6 year old nephew and then for all our lunches and dinners. That was a magical trip, what wonderful memories we made.

Now I go 3, 4 or 5 times a year and I make fewer ps's.

For my most rescent trip I made around 10 PS seatings. The ones I had to make no matter what were for Candlelight Processional, CRT, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Princess Storybook Breakfast. The other's were ones that I probably could have gotten in w/o PS but I made it anyway just in case.

Our last trip was six days - me, DH and DD3 (her b-day trip). We only had 2 PS's, CRT for her birthday breakfast and Chef Mickey's for her birthday dinner. We're not big into sit-downs, especially with a three year old.

For our upcoming trip in 40 days :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc we also have only 2 PS's for a 6 day trip. CRT again, and the Ice Cream Social.

Obviously, we prefer counter service on vacation. Part of the reason is that DH is hypoglycemic and when he's hungry, we have to eat right away so he doesn't get shaky or crabby.

We usually have 5 or 6 PS's for a week-long stay. We do a couple of character breakfasts, because we love them, and make a PS for lunch at Sci Fi (a must-do for every trip) then 2 or 3 others for lunch or dinner, either to try new places or maybe revisit a favorite. Other than character breakfasts, we have breakfast in the room, and the rest of our meals we eat counter service. This plan works well for us. We get to have a few special meals, but we don't feel tied to a bunch of PS's.

If we didn't go at really busy times of the year, we probably would make less PS's and play it by ear a little more.

4 day trip - none
7 day trip - 3 or 4
14 day trip- 6 or 7

Mostly dinners, but sometimes breakfast or lunch.

It depends on the number of days we are staying. I always book one nice sit down per day. Usually we stay 10 days so that would be 10 PSs.

On our last trip, we were there four days and three nights, and booked five PSs; which turned out to be one too many. We did Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickey's and breakfast the next day at Crystal Palace. Friday night was the Hoop Dee Doo Review (I guess you could count that as a sixth PS).

Saturday, we did lunch at 50's Primetime and had a dinner PS at Portabella Yacht Club at DTD after Cirque du Soleil, but in the end we decided that the dinner would be too much to handle and just grabbed some things from the food court at CBR. I think that was a good decision in the end, as we were better rested for Sunday at the MK and our trip home. The last PS was for a late lunch at Tony's.

I had a feeling that we were just a bit "overscheduled" and was glad we decided to drop the Saturday dinner PS. Maybe the fact that we led into the stay with a four-day cruise on Wonder was a factor too.

9 for 9 days but a few are breakfast then another one for dinner as the other meal for that day, some days none, just depends..most are are in park days for lunch or dinner (Ohana, boma)

0 for our last 2 trips. Just waited patiently, or didnt eat there. This trip I am planning on 3-5, as I feel this may be my last trip with an agreeable DS who still thinks his mom is cool. Oh, they grow up so fast!

It depends on how many days we are staying. We do one per day at a sit down meal. Our last trip in June, we did 14 meals.

We'll be there for 9 days, here's our PSs:
HDD
Chef Mickey's - breakfast
Crystal Palace - dinner
Ice Cream Social
Fantasmic dinner package - H&V
'Ohana - dinner

I'm debating about adding the Cape May breakfast or Donald's Breakfasoraus (sp?) or just just going with what we have. Not sure yet, but I still have some time.
