Disneyfan551, let me know what you think.

Ok, not that it's worth much, but here's my .02 ! ;)

I know you want ps reviews, but just can't help myself! All of the 'hopping' has me pooped, just from reading it! (That's just me though, we go for full days in the parks, and take our time!)

I would consider moving your DTD trip from 7/13, so you can have a full day at BB, and then get ready for your Illuminations cruise. Move DTD to your arrival afternoon, after relaxing all day, go walk around and eat dinner there, tons of choices.

Good thinking on your CRT time. And congrats on the ps! :teeth:

When you hop between parks, and eat 3 meals at the parks, do you still find that you have enough time?

7/16 looks very busy! Not sure of the time of the Tea Party, but can you squeeze that all in, without feeling rushed? Would it be possible to skip BnC that day, and do it the following day, in between your 'hopping' to Epcot? I never know where to eat in MGM either, nothing very appealing.

7/19...I like Flametree too! However, I don't know that I would eat here the same day that I'm eating a big "meat" meal at Ohana.

I think your choices look great! Good idea on keeping your shopping day open! ;)

HTH!

Thanks for the input. I always love any advice/tips/help when it comes to DIsney.

We generally don't mind the Park hopping. With 2 little ones we desperately need afternoon breaks. So we will usually stay in a park from opening until about 11:30 or after we've had lunch. We then move to another park in the Evening around 5pm. (wtih the exception of AK in afternoon, we will go there around 2/3 pm)

Hopefully it won't be to bad with Beaches & Cream being just across the way from the BWV.

I'll look at 7/16 , it is kind of busy. I just decided at the last minute to add Wonderland Tea Party for DD4.

I'll try to eat an early lunch at Flametree and a late dinner at Ohana. BTW, does anyone know when their latest PS for dinner usually is?

Thanks again for all the tips:D

I understand about the naps/breaks during the day. I'm way too excited to do that, and our dd just naps whenever she's ready!

Tell us about the Tea Party when you get back! Actually, I would love to see your dining reviews when you return, because your schedule is great!

Re: Ohana, not sure about their latest ps is, but I just made one yesterday for 8:00, since Wishes won't be until 9:30 that night.

Have a great trip! (And I would love to hear your comments when I post my itinerary in a little while! ::yes:: )

Mind if I add my .02? I would also move DTD to your arrival day. Lots of good places to eat and you get in the mood for WDW!!.

Then on 7/13, I would suggest doing BB as early in the morning as youb can. It gets incredibly crowded there. I'm not sure how long you'll want to hang out there with little ones. We always get there at opening and stay until lunch. It's really crowded then. Then do Beaches and Cream for a latish lunch and get ready for IllumiNations.

Then on 7/16, I would once again do TL early, same reasoning. What we did when my dd did the Tea Party was to eat lunch at the GF. That worked really well. I think we ate in the Cafe, but I'm not sure.

For 7/18, I would go back to DTD and do some final shopping. You know....all that stuff you forgot to buy in the parks but you just have to have!! And then eat lunch there.

Otherwise your plans look great. Have a terrific time.

Just back from 5 nites at BCV and 4 nites at Universal HRH. I made out a whole itinerary, with a PS for dinner every nite, and it really worked out well for us. Some nites I booked 2 PS for dinner, so we had an option based on what we were in the mood for each particular day. We basically winged it for breakfast & lunch, with only one PS for breakfast at Boma (excellent!) Our Disney dinners were House of Blues, O'Hana, Flying Fish, Teppenyaki, and Spoodles. I would highly recommend all of these restaurants except Flying Fish (my fish was raw on inside, and they very willingly removed my entre from our bill). It was pricey, and not the most tasty. I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has..... It was a great trip! :earsgirl:

Thanks Disneyfan551 & goofy4tink, I'm getting so excited making these Ps's:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I look forward to seeing your Itinerary Disneyfan551. I will be sure to post my reviews after our trip.

goofy4tink, I would love to get up early and go to BB & TL, but DH will need to sleep in those days or else he becomes  very grumpy!! We'll play it by ear, you never know.

Laso82, what did you think of Spoodles? We may hit that one day.

Thanks again

The first thing I do when planning a trip.... after the airplane & hotel is put together the PS plan. My husband made me do this after our first trip... where I only made one PS plus Hoop de doo. By the end of the day we were not very good at deciding where we were going to eat. Not to mention tired hungry folks are very cranky and not only don't want to argue for 10 mins on WHERE, but also don't want to wait 30+ mins for a table.

I think in his heart he is afraid I will forget to feed him in all the daily excitement..... and he is probably correct. We sit down as a family and start the list of where we each want to eat. Then we vote which and when. Then based on the meal plan we put together the plans for what parks we will visit, so we are in the right place at meal time. SO far this has been for evening meals mostly... but the last few visits, dh has wanted to me assure him we know where we will be getting counter service at lunch.

Our plans are flexible once we are there. Sometimes PS's get cancelled or changed depending on crowds, weather, etc. But it is important to my family to know that they WILL get fed at a specific time.

I just wish Disneyland had the food choices. Now that my dd is in college in the LA area, we have visited the DL 4 times in the last 2 years. I guess park real estate is too dear to spend on many sit down restaurants.

With 2 small kids, ages 1 and 3 last year I made one for each lunch and 2 dinners. When everyone was tired ( and HOT ) it was wonderful to sit in A/C for a relaxing and cool lunch.

zippehsmom... ok, my itinerary is posted! Would love your feedback, too! ;)

edited to add that it is on the Theme Park board!

We loved Spoodles! We went with our friends who were also staying at the Beach Club. There were 4 adults and 5 kids ages 15, 13, 9, 7 & 5. The appetizers we had were all good....the calimari, mussles, lamb skewer, and I had the arugala and spinach salad, which was very good. My son and I had the salmon, which we both liked alot, and the other adults had the rigatoni, and fettucini dishes, which they really liked as well. The kids were all happy with their kids meals.... I definitely would give Spoodles a try, if you can fit it into your schedule ....::MinnieMo

I was just looking at my PS's for this trip and I think I have to many.

How many do you guys usually have in a trip?

We never make any PS's in advance. There is no way we could plan in advance where we will be at any given time on a certain day of our vacation. We generally decide what park to do the nite before each day. Sometimes, we don't decide until that morning - especially if there is a chance of rain because that affects the decision.

We also can't plan what we will all be in the mood for on a given day weeks or months in advance. It amazes me that so many people do this routinely.

We will almost always have lunch one day at Crystal Palace. That day, we just stop at City Hall when we enter MK and make a PS then. I have never been unable to get a PS by doing it that way.

We make dinner PS for just about every night, and maybe 1 or 2 breakfasts. We never have PS lunches - we tend to eat lightly during the day. Most of our dinner PS are in Epcot's World Showcase, although we have eaten at many of the other non-park choices.

We've sometimes modified PS once we've arrived, but having them in place has always been helpful.
