How many ponchos per a person?

"If they are going to get everything wet in our bag then I will have to throw them out we are just carrying those cinch sac's and I want them to be disposable too!"

We just keep a large ziplock bag in our pack to put the wet poncho in.

Cautionary Tale: I bought $1 ponchos from Target or Walmart for our last trip. They were not worth the $$$ I paid. We ditched them for Disney ponchos at the first opportunity.

If you are using ponchos just for water rides, maybe the dollar ones are ok. But for walking around ... "touring", they just do not cut it.

I kept and dried off the Disney ones and will be bringing them back this year. They are just a really good quality. Granted, it would require someone taking charge of them when and if the party members want to ditch them. They're not that bulky. I will say, I only had to keep up with 3 of them, for what it's worth.

I will not waste another dollar on the cheapie ponchos.

Thanks for all the replies. My husband and I will have draw string backpacks. I do want to bring another for ponchos. I'm thinking 2 a piece will be good. If we need more we'll stop by Walmart. We're staying close by one.

We brought one per person, and they were from Target. I think they were $1.20 each? But they held up really well. On one day DS8 accidently ripped his hood part open, but we were able to tie it back together under his chin and it still worked just fine!

We bought Disney ones four years ago. They were yellow, heavy and had a "Mickey" on the back. They were $5 then and great quality.

We bring two per person. We have one for Kali that we either throw away or give to someone in line. Depending on the weather we may use one on Splash. DW doesn't ride either. In the past we have never run out. If it gets bad we can always make a run to the Super Target.

No more cheap poncho's for us. The $8. Disney charges for the "good" poncho's is well worth it .
Also if your Disney poncho gets ripped or damaged, they will replace it ...... no questions asked.
