I was just wondering though I am pretty sure I know the answer. We are purchasing 50 pts not as an add on thrugh a resale. This is ok to have right. We don't need to have 150 to actually use them. 150 is way too much for us to use and we just want 50 for now.

It is okay to do. Many people buy less than 150 through a resale and through banking and borrowing end up with enough to plan a trip or two.
