I know one of you data driven members knows an approximate answer to this.

Because you're at PizzeRizzo, I'll start with WDW.

WDW resorts are between 1.96mil (BRV) and 14mil (SSR) points.

So you'd need to own at least 19.6k points to have 1% of the smallest WDW resort.

If you only care about temporarily having 1% of declared points, then you could buy ~5k CFW points to have 1% of the roughly 500k declared.

If you wanted 1% of everything at WDW, you'd need ~695k points as there's ~69.5mil points at WDW (counting full CFW+PVB+RIV).

If you wanted 1% of everything across all of DVC, you'd need ~885k points as there's ~88.5mil points across all of DVC (counting full CFW+PVB+RIV+AUL+VDH).

But I think there are around 4200 points (I eyeballed the math--so if someone wants to figure it out to the exact point count, have at it) in a Jambo House Value Studio (I'm picking the cheapest one). So in my AKV contract, I think I own about 8% of one value room. I guess that's something.

ahh yes so owning 1% of a room inside the resort, love that way of thinking. DH was thinking more grand like 1% of a resort overall. This coming from someone who refused to go to Riv because he "isn't buying more points"
