how many points for a cruise?

title says it all. How many points do you use when cruising. I would want category 10 or 11, and per person double occupancy. I might use points for my first person and pay for the 2nd. thanks.

It would be cheaper to pay cash thru- dcl, if you give the date of cruise and how long of a cruise, i can tell how many points for the first person

I was hoping to go on the 3 night cruise on 5/27, my 50th birthday. Peggie

5/27 3 day cruise cat 11 96 points per adult, cat 10 103 points per adult. and the going rate to rent is around $10 per point.

and if you rent points and pay cash for the second person, the person that rents you the points will have to call and make the ressies and at that time will also have to pay for your second person right away, that is another reason why your better off paying cash for the cruise thru dcl, besides it probalbe cheaper thru dcl. unless someone has points expiring or has reservation points to use and you can get a deal on them. 9reservation points are points that can not be used for dvc resorts only.

Because we haven't been able to use our points (for health reasons) this past year, we decided to splurge on our first cruise. We booked a cat 6 stateroom with veranda. For the two of us on the 7 night western Magic this used 394 points. CAN"T WAIT!
