How many points are required for 8-10 day DVC

I have been doing some reading on DVC and am interested. However, being the newbie that I am, I was wondering if anyone can clue me in on how many points will get us a nice vacation (meaning about 8-10 days per year).

Check out "DVC Point Charts" at top of page. This will give you what you need.

Also, if you go here http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-vacation-club/index.html , you can play with the points calculator. You can look at how many points by date, by resort, by room size, etc. All of those factors impact how many points you need.
