How many pjs for trip?

I normally take 1-2 pair for a week and 3 for longer trips (if it is more than 2 weeks I will manage to do laundry).

It never occurred to me that people wear different PJs every day. Being fresh out of the shower when I put mine on and not being someone who sweats at night mine still pretty much look and smell almost new after a week anyway:confused3

Oh, and like the PP I will wear jeans twice too--so I guess I am just a "shocking and disgussting" person:lmao: People don't leave a wide bearth around me to avoid smells though:rolleyes:

I will wear jeans several times before washing them (unless I do yardwork or something that gets them actually dirty, of course), and I will wear the same sleeping attire (or at least the shorts anyway) for several days in a row.

The way I figure it, I am wearing those shorts for only 6 hours or so. Changing them after one night would be kind of like wearing one outfit from when I woke up until just after lunch, then changing again until dinner, and then again until bedtime. I don't have time to do that much laundry.

I went on a trip with a friend and I packed 1 pair of pjs for the week and she packed 7 pairs. I thought that was crazy!

But maybe I am the crazy one?

It depends. Were you sharing the same room? If yes, then I would be bringing 3-4. If not, then probably only 1.

Gross! I can't imagine wearing my pajamas for a week without washing. I take a shower in the mornings before I get dressed, but no way would I wear my day clothes again without washing. To me, my clothes have the same funky feeling in the morning that my teeth do, even though they were clean when I went to bed, too.

I'm with you and shocked (and disgusted) that so many sleep in the same outfit over and over.

Wow, just wow:sad2:. Considering I am one of the people who would only take one pair, “Thank you” for thinking I am disgusting. So, I am disgusting, and you are RUDE:thumbsup2!!!!!

FYI: I put my PJ’s on right after I shower, and take them off before getting into bed. So, how long do I have them on??? Anywhere from 10 min to maybe 1 hour. So, at the most, I am wearing them for a total of 7 hrs for 1 week. Less time than a person wears their clothes in 1 day’s time. I am more concerned about having my sheets changed:banana:.

I'd probably bring 2 sets of PJs. I shower at night and tend to keep the room cold on vacations, so I am not sweating or stinking them up.

I honestly never knew of anyone who only wore PJs once before washing them until I learned of it here on the DIS.

OK, this has to be said (by a man).

Pajamas....on vacation.......in Florida????????

That's what I was going to say (except I'm a woman). :goodvibes

DH and I do not wear anything to sleep in. I cannot stand pajamas while in bed because they drive me crazy and I feel like I'm getting tangled in them and the sheets.

However, we sleep in same room with our kids at Disney, so I always bring pj pants for each of us to wear between showering and getting into bed (2 for me, one for him). I will bring 2-3 comfy tanks/tees to wear in bed, but they will often wind up on the floor.

I pack two pairs of pajamas for each kid, but they also have extra comfy shirts and shorts that they can wear to sleep in and I am willing to do laundry if necessary.

Neither have I. Unless you're a sweaty person, I can't imagine why you would need to wear something different each night if you shower right before bed. If your pajamas are yucky after one night, I would assume you would have to change your sheets each morning as well?

I'm a guy and I usually pack 2 pairs of soccer-type shorts when we go away for a week. If it is Wintertime, I'll pack 2 pairs of Flannel pants. Wearing a shirt to bed feels uncomfortable, so I usually don't pack one. If it gets chilly, I'll just wear one of the extra T-shirts that I pack.

New pajamas for each night? Who has time & money for all that laundry? :confused3

One pair!

Not only that, but I also wear my jeans several days in a row. :lmao:

Yes, I use my towels more than once, I wear my jeans more than once and for a week long trip I probably would have packed 2 pajamas.

Unless I do yard work, or it's really hot and I get sweaty or get my clothes dirty for some other reason, I see no problem with wearing something more than once.

Is the reason you change your jammies linked to your name?:lmao: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sometimes the way posts match with names is just too ironic to ignore!

I also wear pajamas several times, jeans and other pants too. I'm cheap and lazy (I hate shopping) so I want my clothes to last as long as possible. I also rehang and reuse my towels and leave sheets on my bed for a week or sometimes even two. I cheap, lazy, AND nasty!

Just tell people that is your way of going green. Think of all the water and energy and detergent you are saving!

There is certainly truth to that as well. Even the budget aspect of the laundry is a big deal.

I think there are certainly people who take it too far. It's not like anyone here is talking about not bathing regularly or never doing laundry - just waiting another day to wash something that doesn't stink or seem dirty.

Hah, it's a relief to know that I'm not the only nasty cheap etc person. :thumbsup2 My work clothes are hung neatly at the end of the day to be worn again once more before I wash 'em. I figure that any creepy crawlies I might have attached to the clothing will drop off before I wear 'em again ;) Not really, lol; I can't afford to have them wear out too soon, and I like the saving of detergent and water as well. AND I reuse a towel once too. The only things that get washed after every use are underthings and gym clothes.

As for jams, I think I'd bring two pairs, mainly because I'm one of those "you never know what might happen" type people :rolleyes1

Um, yeah. You don't?

Nope - I was taught you don't wear a bra to bed why would you wear underwear?

Cute shorts/top or a nightgown - no panties.

Just thinking that could be the reason for the discrepancies in the number of pjs one takes on vacation.
