I went on a trip with a friend and I packed 1 pair of pjs for the week and she packed 7 pairs. I thought that was crazy!

But maybe I am the crazy one?

I always shower right before I go to bed. So, for me, I would pack just one.

I have night sweats sometimes, so yes one pair for me would be crazy / : )

I would probably take two pair for a week's trip and alternate them. If it was only 3-4 days, I would only take one.

I only bring 1 pair, regardless of the length of the trip.

I bring a nylon nightgown. I can wash it out in the shower in the morning, and hang it up. It's dry for that night.
It's great for vacations.

I save room by packing not-so-many things to sleep in. I'll wear a sleep shirt for 2 or 3 nights. Or I'll even just wear my "extra" t-shirts to sleep in later into a trip.

However, I had exactly the same experience you did. A friend and I went on a work trip to Miami last fall. She had different cute pajamas for every single night! I think she had even bought new ones. But she didn't take enough clothes for the daytime and ended up re-wearing stuff and saying she hadn't brought enough :confused3. How do you bring more pajamas than regular clothes .

If I had acces to a laundry then I would bring 3 pair and do laundry halfway through- otherwise would have to pack enough for the week. I don't care if I shower right before bed I am not rewearing pajamas night after night without washing them! :crazy2: :scared:

I would bring one, MAYBE 2 depending on the weather.

If it's a winter vacation I'd bring one, a summer vacation I'd probably bring 2.

We usually do laundry at least once while on vacation, so I wouldn't feel the need to bring so many.

I usually bring two pairs for a six night trip. My DH has to bring a clean t-shirt for each night, he sweats profusely in his sleep. It all depends on what makes you comfortable.

OK, this has to be said (by a man).

Pajamas....on vacation.......in Florida????????

This is what I would do too. :goodvibes

I'm with you and shocked (and disgusted) that so many sleep in the same outfit over and over.

I sleep in t-s and either sweats or cut off shorts.

So, I would bring 2 t's, 1 shorts, 1 sweats.

I will rewear the same jammies for about 4 nights before I wash them. I don't DO anything in my sleep to make them "dirty"...

What in the world are you guys doing at night to get your PJs so dirty? And how often do you do laundry?

OP, I too would have only brought one pair of PJs on a week-long vacation. At home, I get out new PJs on Sundays that I wear all week, so I wouldn't change my schedule for vacation.

Is the reason you change your jammies linked to your name?:lmao: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

My answer depends on whether I have my kids with me or not!;)

I personally think we wash our clothes too much anyway. I was just reading that a "jean" expert said to wear then 7 to 10 times before washing if they are not stained. Washing degrades the fibers in clothes.

I typically shower before bed to so my clean body is going into the jammies. I don't really sweat at night and I typically take one pair for 3 night stay. For a week I would take 2. I do like the nylon nightgown idea though. I would rather have room in my suitcase for souvenirs!

:rotfl2:Tinkermommy, thanks for the laugh!!!!!!! I ready your post and literally laughed out loud. Sometimes I feel like such a fool sitting here at home alone and just burst out laughing at something funny! My dogs look at me like I am crazy. :rotfl:
