How many pillows do you use?

Wow! I'm surprised to see that some sleep with so many! I use either 1 memory foam pillow or if I'm somewhere other than home, I sleep flat on the mattress (I sleep on my stomach).

Me too!! I can't imagine sleeping with 5 pillows. My neck would be so sore!

4, 2 under my head, one between my legs (I hate my skin to touch my skin)and one as a boo boo

I think there are 10 pillows on the bed. We only use one each for sleeping, so I don't know why DW keeps so many there. Two are regular pillows. two are covered with the same fabric that matches the bedspread/comforter (she calls them shams) and then there are six small decorative pillows in various shapes. If I go to bed first I just haphazardly chuck everything except the two main pillows on the floor.

Heaven help me if I dare to rest my head on the shams or small decorative pillows. :faint:

I asked her why she needs so many pillows. She says it makes the bedroom look more inviting. Hmmmm, I wonder who she's inviting over when I'm not home.

Dh uses 1 memory foam and I use 1 regular one. My pillow takes a beating at night though, and I change regularly as they have to be 'just so'. I go through the pillows as I 'think' we fight at night!! :)

3- 2 I sleep on and one I cram in the crack between the bed and and the frame so I don't lose one my sleeping pillows down there.

DH has two.

I, on the other hand, have 5 - one pillow for my head propped up on one of the bed rest pillow things, one body pillow one side of me, & two pillows on the other side of me. DH says I "nest".

W/ the exception of our 2 main pillows, all the other pillows go in my closet when we make the bed. And then we have 5 pillows (2 king-sized pillows w/ shams & 3 smaller decorative pillows) that go on the bed.

One, very flat. Sometimes I don't even use a pillow. I have issues with a pinched nerve around my neck and elevating it while I sleep seems to make it worse!

Three...one is a body pillow and all are TempurPedic. I travel with the smaller ones.

I use two - one for my head, one for my knees.

My husband uses three - two for his head, one for his knees.

Me: 5 (it used to be 4, but one of the pillows has gone flatter over the years)
My other half: 2, sometimes 1

I need a very firm pillow to sleep on, and so far I have had little luck locating what I consider to be a firm pillow. (If you know of one, I'd be happy to hear your recommendations.)

4:
1 fluffy pillow under my head
1 body pillow between my knees
1 down pillow beside my head
1 fluffy pillow to hug

I also have a pillow in a sham behind my sleeping pillow that is up against the headboard.

Depends.... at home.... none. To help with breathing, I use no pillows or a thin one to help with my sleep apnea (I do use a CPAP). Want to avoid having the head tilted forward with the chin against the chest.

When travelling.... three or more.
  • pillow one against the right side of the head
  • pillow two against the left side of the head
  • pillow three above the forehead.... you need to breathe!
I found this creates the perfect sound muffle for traffic, the refrigerator, when sharing the room with a loud snorer, or a noisy neighbor in another room.
