How many pictures do you usually take on vacation?

I was going to say on my last trip in December 2003, but I was home on Tuesday 7/26, :Pinkbounc :cool1: :maleficen :jumping3: :jumping2: :thewave: as I watched the Shuttle take off on the bus to Disney, from the Cruise Ship I was on that was docked in Port Canaveral, back to the subject at hand. When I was there in Dec 2003 for two weeks, I had my 3.1 MgPixel camera and my laptop and I took over 1200 pictures, and one day I left my 256KB memory stick in laptop and could only take 8 pictures on other memory stick, so I probably would have reached 1300.

Last family trip to WDW- 600 pictures.

I know this is probably blasphemous :faint: but I'm considering leaving my camera home this upcoming trip. I just don't feel like lugging it around this time. Also always worried not to bump it around, worrying not to leave it somewhere etc. Also, all the time it takes to set up a good shot that never seems to turn out the way I want it. I looked through last trips scrapbook and 9 out of 10 shots were just scenery. Hey, I could buy a postcard and get a better shot! I know a scrapbook is a great memory to have and I'll probably change my mind, but today I feel rebellious! :teeth:

I carry 3 1G cards for my Nikon D70. I take Hi-Res photos, just in case I need to do some software mods to them. The reason I carry 3 cards is you never know when one may malfunction or get lost. I would hate to try to replace one at WDW. $$$$

Along the lines of what Kenswing said, I decided the amount of memory I needed (512mb in my case), then split it into 2 cards instead of buying just 1. So, I took 2 256mb cards instead of 1 512mb card. The reason I did this was solely to protect a little against a malfunction. If the card goes zonko (and it does happen), at least I didn't lose the entire trip. We took about 200 pictures over a 6 day WDW + 2 day Destin trip, but we're not scrapbookers. I have a friend who is a scrapbooker and they took 700 pictures over 5-6 days. So, it just depends on how you plan to use the pics and how often you like to pull that camera out! Have fun!

When we went in May, I ended up taking a little over 300 pictures. That was for 5 days at Disney and 3 at Daytona Beach. It cost a fortune in developing, but what better souvineers can you have, than pictures!

This is the biggest thing I am worried about with out trip. We will be there 6 days and it is our first trip and we are taking our 2 1/2 year old son. Sooo.. I am a huge picture taking freak! I know I will be taking constant pictures of my little one and want to get some good family photos, etc..

I have spent everything I can spend without cutting into Disney money and it only gives me 3 512 cards. I have the 8mp Digital Rebel and so I will get between 750-825 from those. I am sooo worried that this is not going to be enough or that one of my cards will malfunction or god forbid something happen to my camera. I would be sooooo depressed. This is probably the one thing I am most excited about..taking awesome pics of my little guy out there and filling up a huge Disney album.

Idealy I would love to have 2 more 512 cards or a 1gb card to take along with the 3 512's I am taking but I know I can't afford anymore so I am going to have to do my best on what I have! Lets hope that will do. I can see me taking about 20 pics per character he meets..lol We are also doing 2 character meals and other cool dinners so I know I will be taking pics there too, as well as DTD, the hotel..etc. How will I ever get by???

300/one week

I have two 128MB cards. I usually don't use very much of the second card.
