about how many photos do you take while on holiday at WDW?

last year we took around 300 on digital camera, but kept having to delete some

also had a water proof disable camera for blizzrd beach n typoon lagoon

so around 330

you????

you take film or a digital camera, and how many memory sticks and what size, as some of you take like 200 a day

On our trip in May, I took about 500. This doesn't include 24 from a water disposable, not to mention we did the photopass. All in all, we came back with over 600 pictures (we had 80 on the photopass).

Love those pictures. Hopefully I can find some time to upload them to photobucket so the I can start sharing.

:yay:

We never come home with less than 30 rolls( of 24 exp)and then there's PhotoPass (at least 25-30)!My DH says he married the "Fuji Queen"! :sunny:

anywhere from 100-300 per day, depending on my mood,

I bet the photo developers love us all! :sunny:

not those of us who have switched to digital.... :cool1:

if you shoot that many rolls of film, why not use rolls of 36 exp. it's cheaper for the film and cheaper for the processing....

When we went last year we were gone for three weeks and I took a little over 1500 pictures. They were all digital and did not include the one's that were deleted. That included a trip to Miami Beach, family pictures (Dh is from FL), our youngest's first birthday, our oldest's 15th birthday, and 10 days at Disney. :teeth:

Last trip probably in the 200-250 range. That was with the old crummy camera. Fast forward to new spiffy Rebel XT- I'm guessing 100-150 shots per day. One afternoon at the park I shot about 400 (trying to get good candids of 5 kids under 5 ;)). I have a 4 gig micro drive that will be downloaded to my laptop (and backed up on CD) each night and then cleared for the next day.

It depends. We went last November and I took about 500-600 or so during our week stay. That was with the 4 of us plus my mother and DW's parents. 2 weeks or so ago, DW and I went for 4 days just the 2 of us and I ended up taking just under 1500 including those that were deleted and those that I really don't like. However, that 4 days trip was a photo-vacation for me. I planned on taking tons of pictures. I wanted to explore Disney with my camera and I had the time to do that. I was able to take my time, do some bracketing, try things from different angles, etc.

Next time we go (possibly after Thanksgiving '07) I know I wont take as many because we'll be spending to much time watching out for the kids and I'll have no way near as much solo time. So I'll probably be back down to the 600 or so. If I had film I wouldn't take as much, but I really do like carting around that much film. With digital I find that I can explore a little more and not worry as much if it doesn't come out like I had planned.

I am in the 200-300 per day range when in the parks, probably 50-75 per day out of the parks. I never use PhotoPass, the few I have seen that they have done for me are always tilted and require post processing work (degrades the image). Last trip was about 1200 pictures.

Last trip 2 weeks ago me and the DW took about 2500 in 4 days but the majority was the LCA (car) show/fantasmic,wishes, and my wife learning her new D50.

5 days at WDW in October 2005, I shot 900 frames.
4 day DCL cruise and 1.5 days at Sea World I shot 1200 frames.

I typically shoot about 150 frames a day on vacation using my Canon Powershot G3.

Many years ago, we visited Europ for 2 weeks and I shot 3000 frames of London, Paris, and Rome. This was with <1 megapixel Sony digital camera which recorded to floppy discs. half my suitcase was taken up by floppy discs.

I recently bought a Canon EOS Rebel XT, so I imagine those numbers are going to be going up with much shorter delay between shots in normal mode and the much much faster burst mode.

digi point and shoot or slr...???

Jeez, I thought I took a lot, but nowhere near some of the numbers being talked about. Funnily enough I have just put one of our trips pics onto our new iMac, and there were about 400 for 14 days.

Having said that I do not take the camera out with me every day, as I find myself using it too much!

Those of you who take hundreds each day, where do you put them? I can only manage about 300 or so on my 1gb card.

I'm shooting the biggest JPEG files that the XT shoots (not RAW) and have a 4 GIG microdrive, and I can get well over 1000 shots on that card (never pushed it past 500 before uploading) but the counter on the camera starts at 999 and stays there for quite a while before starting the countdown. :)

It varies a lot but on two of my "23 hours at Walt Disney World" trips I took about 600 on each trip.

These are photo trips, where I don't go on many rides but wander around a lot looking for things to photograph that I had never noticed before.

hopefully that is not the only card you have...

After reading another post here, I've got a couple 2 gig CF cards on order. ;)
The guy at Best Buy talked me into that card.

I have always been paranoid about losing pictures so the first thing that I do after every photo session is dump the photos on to my hard drive and burn a CD. So far (since November) no problems (she says this while crossing legs and all fingers). :rotfl:
