Have family coming over for dinner that they wish they werent coming??? We have my mothers middle brother coming over with his PITA wife and kids UGH!!!! Every year like bad luggage they show up and I can't stand them. I mean the kids are ok, I love kids anyway and they are older but his wife can drive my whole family crazy. My mom is kind enough to let me eat upstairs in her apt and watch TV and surf the web so thats what Ill be doing today while they are all downstairs dinning.
Well, nobody's coming here, but later on we'll be going to my MIL's house for a very short visit. FIL is coming home from the nursing home for the day, and he's a PISTOL. The turkey feathers will be flying over there.
Happily, we're eating dinner at my mom's house, and things are very peaceful and pleasant there.
I can't get away from it. We go to my MIL's and I have to put up with my SIL's insults, stupid remarks and insiunations. She believes I abuse my kids, because they get punished for doing things and are not allowed to do what they want all the time. Everything other than letting them go wild is abusive. I hate putting up with her, but not worth making a scene....but I hate this day I only do it for DH and my kids
DH's sister, who has been here since Sunday, is ours. I think every family has one. Thankfully, she's leaving tomorrow,and DH and I will be eating dinner with my side of the family this year. I have to work 3pm-11pm, so I will eat with DH and my family, and then go off to work. DH will probably go to his normal sister's house(where the pesty one is staying)later, but at least it won't be a day-long event for him. I will be at work, so I have a good excuse!
