How many people in a room?

We will make our 1st family trip to WDW Sept. 19-25 , and are considering staying at All Star Sports to get in on the free dining. It will be me, DH, DS and three DDs( ages 10, 8, 6, 3). Can we all stay in one room or will we have to reserve two?

We also have reservations at a nearby condo but thought this might be the better deal. Which would you choose?

You can only fit 4 in an all-stars. I think they allow five if the youngest is under 2. It's not easy finding rooms that fit 6 in Disney cheap. The cheapest deal would be two all-stars or PO has a room with two queens & a trundle bed that's reasonable for Disney. Being that the 3 yo could sleep in a crib this might work. Good luck.

We have 5 in our family and we always get 2 rooms at ASMo. We get to have 2 bathrooms, 2 sinks, 2 toilets (A huge benefit when you need it), and 4 beds.

We go in Value season and with the AAA discount I get 2 rooms for 7 night for just about $1000. With AAA we get a 20% discount off each room. We also don't rent a car but we have a towncar service and a grocery store stop so we have some munchies.

I like the fact that we have a room where kids can be awake and a room for some of the family to sleep and we have

You may also want to consider just upping your hotel ressie to a larger room. Port Orleans (moderate) sleeps 5, as does almost every deluxe. Ft. Wilderness cabins also give VERY good rates during value season. It might work out cheaper to have one room at a higher resort level than two at a value--don't know though. Or renting DVC points??? But there may be no free dining renting DVC points--don't know. You might actually want to go to the Resorts board to ask some questions. More knowledgable people over there than I.

Also, by staying off site, don't forget that you won't have the free dining, but you also have to add the daily cost for parking.

All-Stars would be four plus one under three in a crib

POR is five plus plus one under three, still a no go.

Disney will NOT actually guarentee connecting rooms for families, there is a long thread over on the resorts board someplace. They tell you they guarentee, but if its not there when you check in, you'll be up the crick. Your options are cabins at Ft. Wilderness, a home away from home 2 bedroom, or staying offsite - which will be more affordable.

That isn't to say people don't stuff hotel rooms over their occupancy limits...

Your offsite is your most realistic choice. While the "free" dining sounds good, you will need 2 rooms unless you look into FW Cabins.
