We cruised on a 4 day in January and loved the experience so much. :cool1: We want to plan a 7 day next. :yay: When our friends and family asked us how our trip was, we had nothing but glowing things to say. :cheer2: Through conversations, we've had a lot of friends and family say they would love to take a DCL cruise. :thumbsup2 My kids 11, 8, 4 even got to talk about their trip to their classes. :teacher:
Recently, my in-laws have said they would like to do our next DCL cruise with us (yeah!) :Pinkbounc , my close friend said she's looking into it all, my DD has a friend in class that is taking a RCCL trip over spring break because of her sharing (DCL prices too high), another one of her classmate's family booked a Magic trip next Dec., and my DS's friend's family is between 2 dates in Oct. and will book soon. These are the serious folks, and we've talked to several more who are entertaining the idea.
This is what Disney does best...creates loyal, repeat customers who use word of mouth to promote the magic they have to offer. (I'd love to have some of their marketing magic in my business! :wizard: )
I'm sure we're not the only ones who have "shared the magic"...
anyone else help bring new cruisers to DCL? :wave2:

I was just thinking about this the other day!! We have been cruising with DCL since day one on their Maiden Voyage back on July 30, 1998 and have been on 15 DCL cruises since.....I would have to say I have raved so much about it over the years that I have convinced at least 25 people to go on the cruise...maybe even more!!!! And....many of them are no repeat cruisers who are hooked... :thumbsup2

I talked both of my best friend's and their families into it, my Mother in Law, DH's Aunt, Cousin and her kids! We all sailed last summer to Mexico, and one of my friends is sailing on the Wonder with us this summer. :sunny:

About a year ago, our friend Mike was in town for the weekend. We had just booked our Land/Sea, and we casually mentioned something about it to him. He'd never been to WDW, and he sounded interested. So we sat him in the big comfy leather armchair and showed him the WDW and DCL dvds until we broke him. He called his sister, and we ended up with a dozen people on land and six on the ship (they brought their dad and step-mom, and all the step-mom's kids joined us for the land portion).

But turnabout is fair play. The last night on the ship (which was just four days ago... ) Mike stops by the re-booking desk and gets all the details. He comes over to our stateroom, gives us the hard sell. Needless to say, we went down and rebooked that evening. First week of December, 2007. First time on the Magic, on the Western swing. We've got at least two more couples who we're going to work on, and I have a feeling that list may grow as the next 20 months go by.

We may also go over to the parks for a couple of days afterward and see the decorations. We haven't made up our minds yet.

We too convinced our family to cruise with us. We have planned a family reunion for Sept 2007. So far we have over 30 people going! The only problem with the long wait is the kids keep asking "Are we going on Mickey's boat today?"DAILY : :confused3 I couldn't wait that long myself so we booked the Halloween cruise on the Wonder for this year!

I talked my veteran cruising parents (60+) who are in their mid 80s into joining us on the 10-night Wonder trip this September....should be interesting!

We haven't even been on our cruise yet (50 more days!) and we talked my BIL and SIL and their 3 kids into coming with us, along with FIL and MIL. There will be 12 of us. I've also talked my best friend and her family into doing a Disney Cruise - they will be booking for 2007! I talk about it all the time and I've never even been! Just wait till I get back, I'm sure I can get more friends to book. I shoulda been a salesperson :rotfl:

I think during my live trip report from the Magic last October we convinced about 30 or 40 DISers alone to book a cruise :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We've also convinced 4 sets of our friends to go. One cruised with us, one is booked for September and 2 are saving up since it's so dang expensive!!

Based on our reviews three families from work have went on Disney cruises and loved them.

Recently booked our first ever Disney cruise and so far have convinced my sister, her husband, my SIL and BIL to join us in celebration my son's high school graduation! :teeth:

CONVINCED TO GO = ZERO :sad2:

TOLD PEOPLE WE WENT = ONE MILLION :yay:

HOW MANY HAVE TOLD ME THEY HAVE HEARD ENOUGH =
ONE MILLION

:rotfl: :lmao: :Pinkbounc  :goodvibes :) :woohoo:

I drive to work with a friend every day and talked about my Disney cruise experiences so much that her mother booked a family cruise this past January for 25 people. They had a great time. :wave2:

My DB and SIL are DVC member and go every year. They talked me into going 2 years ago and both of my daughters princess: princess: have gone back with their boyfriends since that trip. My daughter is doing her vow renewal :bride: :groom: on the February 10, 2007 Western and we have 34 booked so far. I think we will probably have about 40 once all is said and done. :grouphug: I think I'm more excited about seeing their reaction than anything. :cloud9: It's great to have so many to talk to about the upcoming cruise(although my son-in-law keeps threatening to report my emails about the cruise as "SPAM"). :rotfl2:

I just counted and I have talked 68 into cruising DCL. When we went Jan 2005, 10 families from my church all decided to go with us Jan 2006. Most rebooked for Nov 2006, along with 3 families from my neighborhood (14 more people).

6 Families are planning to travel to the MED summer 2007 ....

Awesome!! party: :rainbow: party: :rainbow: party: :rainbow: party: :rainbow:

We took our first land/sea courtesy of my grandpa...
Enjoyed it so much, we told everyone....our friends promptly booked a 7 nighter for their honeymoon 3 months before their wedding.

Rebooked for a 4 night one for the following summer....
talked our friends into going on that one with us.

While we were waiting for that one, the double dip dates came out, and we booked that the day they became available.

In the mean time, above said honeymooning couple called us from Mexico to tell us they rebooked on board to join us on our cruise

Then we convinced 2 other sets of friends to join us as well. (total of 12)

In the mean time DH has convinced 3 families in his squadron to go on Disney cruises as well....

So now we wait for July. As DH puts it, its not a addiction, its a disease...and I am the main carrier.... :rotfl2:

My IL's went on our 2004 cruise with us. I have told many people about them but most of my friends are hooked on RCI.
