How many people have added on before their first trip home?

I have a debate going with my DH right now. I have already told him that I think we should have gotten more points. He thinks we have more than enough

I told him that I have noticed many people do an add on before they even have their first trip home. Help me convince DH to get more points before our first trip home by letting me know how many of you have done this.

We purchased VWL in December 2000. Added on at VWL in July 2001 and made our first visit in late August 2001.

Then it gets worse, in August 2002 we got a resale at OKW.

We purchased in Aug of 1999 and did our Add on in Sept 1999. Our first trip home was December 2000

We added on twice befor our first trip. I did though have to promise the DW that I wouldn't even ask again for 5 years, 2 more to go

In the last year we have added on twice. One of those was only a month after our first purchase.

Guilty! We bought at VWL first and then added on at BCV a few months before our first trip home!

Bought BCV, then OKW resale, then did add-on when we visited our guide on first visit (made decision before the trip).

Joined at BWV in Aug. of 2000, added on at VWL in May of 2001....first trip home was Jan. 2002. We've thoroughly enjoyed our add on...though admittedly it was a very small one. It did get us 4 days at WDW that we might not have had otherwise, so far.

We did our first add on less than 2 weeks after our initial purchase Our first stay on points was 2 days after signing the add on papers. I managed to hold off on the next add on for almost 1.5 years LOL

Bought VWL in Jan 01, then saw this board, added an OKW resale, then came BCV, all before our first stay. Now, awaiting the sale of Saratoga, bought more BCV. It's very addictive.

Bought at BVW in March 2000. I then purchased additional points that December. Our first trip home being March 2001.

I already realided that the initial points purchased were not enough to fulfill my expected trips

My DW and I decided to do an add-on while sitting in the office signing our original contracts. I do believe another add-on or even a 2nd contract is in our future. The Mouse has invaded my mind !!!!!

Initally bought enough points to stay in a studio until DH said why are we staying in a studio and dreaming of a 1 bedroom. Bought the add on 3 weeks later.

We bought into BCV in March 2002. Upon returning, to our residence in New Jersey, we planned our first DVC for November 2002 at Vero Beach.

One month before our first trip "HOME" , we bought additional points into BVC

Now we are getting ready for the Disney Magic Cruise in August 2003.

We puchased DVC in Sept. 2002 at BCV and in Oct. 2002 we purchased an add on. We also see another add-on in the very near future and our first trip home is not until June.

Haven't done an add-on yet, but am hoping that when we take our first trip home in June that we can add-on, and hopefully convince my parents (who are joining us) to buy in also!

We originally signed for BCV in Feb. 2002 while I was there for a seminar. When we got home, we decided that we could afford 50 more points, so we called up and had all new paperwork within a week. Technically this wasn't an add on since our original contract had not closed yet. Our first trip home was in Sept. 2002, and we loved it so much that we added on another 100 when we got home. We would have done the add on while there, but our guide wasn't in that day.

I signed my first contract for 200 BCV points on December 26, 2002 and I just received the paperwork for a 100 point add-on to take advantage of the MB program. First trip home is a 2 bedroom at BCV in May!!
