How many people get in to the DCP on their first try?

Hi, all! I'm a little early, but I am going to apply for the DCP for Spring Advantage 2017. I've seen a few reports of people having tried 2 - 3 times before being accepted, while others get in on their first try. How likely would it be for me to get accepted on my first try this coming summer? I am sure the number of times you try doesn't have a lot of sway, but what would prevent someone from even getting to the WBI? I've been wanting to do the DCP for years, and I'm so nervous I'll screw it up :guilty:

not sure what the answer for this question would be but omg i love your username

Thanks so much! I love yours as well! I totally just creepily stalked your Twitter and I am pretty sure we are the same person. Hahaha, I have the same shirt you're wearing in your icon, and I just bought the Princess art therapy book the other day, too!

omg hey girl :cool1:

I got in on my first try and did a program in Fall 2014, then applied again for SA 2016 and got in once more. So it is totally possible!

Depends a lot on the role you select. Custodial, QSFB are high demand followed by merchandise and Attractions.

BBB is probably the toughest

Cool- thanks! My #1 is Merch and #2 is Attractions, so hopefully I'll have a good shot.

I got accepted my first try for Spring 2012 advantage and then I tried again for Fall 2013 and got accepted. It is possible. They have changed the process a bunch since I did it those years ago though. Back then, basically everyone got a WBI and phone interview.

My friend's sister applied for the spring of her freshman year (the first time she could possibly do the program) and got in! It is possible, but it really varies person to person and what Disney is looking for in a specific recruiting season.

I applied for Spring 2011, didn't get in-- but that was because I picked roles that I wasn't qualified for. I applied again for Spring 2013 and they accepted me for Spring Advantage 2013 in attractions (which I adored)! Finally, I applied for Spring 2015 and I was again accepted, this time for Merch. It's definitely possible, just don't give up and try to research the roles that you're interested in! :) I'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

Back in 2012 I got in on my first try. A lot of people dont talk abouot how many times they applied but I did know two people who mentioned originally being rejected. Either way, if you get rejected the first time it doesnt mean you will the second time
