How Many Pairs of Shoes Do You Bring to Disney?

 I practically always wear heels and I know it's hard to imagine, but after so many years one's achilles and hamstrings get short. Wearing flat shoes for too long actually hurts. I only ever wear flat shoes if I need to do a lot of walking and at the end of the day my heels, ankles and calves are screaming. A quick jaunt through an airport and sitting on a plane? Piece of cake in heels. They would be pumps or mules though because I admit to being one of those shameful people who discreetly slip their shoes off while seated.

As to the bolded, not all airports require you to take your shoes off. Lots do though and tons of people are in sandals or flip-flops; we all go through barefoot. I'm sure the floors are anything but pristine but I'm not a germaphobe.

Ahh okay. I've never thought about the muscles and tendons tightening with prolonged use, but that makes sense.

Why heels on the plane? Wouldn't those be uncomfortable for travelling and mean going through security barefoot or in nylons? I don't wear heels, so just curious.

Pretty much the same. Plus I grew up with my parents strongly believing in dressing well for travel and just about everything else so I'm usually in a skirt and heels on the plane.

I worked a 12 hour shift and then immediately got on a plane to Ireland (left saturday morning landed sunday morning) all in boots with a 6" heel in January... we're a strange breed but that's what's comfy for me.

4 (maybe 5). I used to bring a ton - no more

1 pair of sneakers
1 pair pool flip flops (and inside room)
1 pair dressy flip flops
1 pair of dressier sandals

I agree with the above poster. 4 is a good amount. I wear something comfortable on the plane which would either be the sandals or sneakers and pack the flip flops, and dress shoes.

2, one pair running shoes, one pair Tevas. the Tevas serve as pool/water park shoes. They are also my back ups if the running shoes get rained on. We only go in summer.

3 this last trip, which was the most I'd ever brought. I've done only 1 on most other trips. This time it was my main pair of sneakers, my backup sneakers in case a foot pain issue I'd had in recent weeks popped up again, and a pair of dress shoes for our V&A dinner.

3 pairs. Tennis shoes, water shoes, one nice pair to go with fancy dresses.

For Disney: One pair of good arch support running shoes, and one pair of comfortable, nice looking sandals.

Other vacations are different. If I go on a cruise, I'll bring four: Sandals, runners, water shoes, and a cute pair of low heels for elegant night.

Usually 2 but no more than 3. My current running shoes and then one pair of retired running shoes for the parks most of the time. I don't bring sandals or dress shoes or anything like that. If I'm doing a local short race (or a Disney race shorter than a half) I'll also bring my racing shoes.
