How many pairs of pants?

I'm from Washington, too, and we've gone several times in April and I can count one spring when it was warm enough for shorts. Like you, pre-packing works for me. Somebody else already posted this, but I'll say it again: Check the weather 10 days out, and again 1-3 days before you go. Last trip I practically unpacked everything because a huge storm came in. I can't tell you how happy I was to have gloves, a hat, and a really warm coat on that trip. While it seems like Anaheim has lots of mild, warm weather, they do get a fair amount of rain, strong winds, etc.

OK, I have always wondered about this. When using vaccum bags to pack, you wouldn't have a vaccum at the hotel so how do you pack to come home??

We have travel space bags that don't require a vacuum, you just roll the air out of them.

I got some bags for Christmas, don't know the brand. But you roll them up to squeeze out the excess air, you don't use any extra equipment. They worked well for us for underware and socks.
