Hi there,

I'm making autograph books for the kids, one for Universal, and one for WDW, I realized that I only made 20 pages per book, I don't think that's enough, but I don't want to make them too big for them to carry, how many pages do you think I should put in them? I think the WDW one should be bigger than the Universal one, there are more characters, aren't there?

Thanks!

Jen

The Disney Autograph book that I have is the one that can be bought in the parks and there are 50 pages in it.

Never been to Universal, so can't offer any help there.

Wow - 95 characters! That's a lot! Hmmm - I guess somewhere betweeen 50 and 95 pages should do it, I don't want them too big otherwise the kids won't carry it themselves :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!

Jen

60+ characters over 9 days... and we were not really trying.... no kidding. But we did some characters meals too..... tons of characters in the parks....

Depending on the size and style of your book more than one character can sign per page. On our Disneyland trip last year my kids books had between 20-30 pages and a lot of characters would sign on the same pages. Chip & Dale, Alice & the Mad Hatter, Pooh & Piglet, etc. There was plenty of space, and we did 3 character meals on top of other character meet & greets.

I personalize a lot of the pages for certain characters that I know we'll see, but then I also include some blank pages for unexpected characters too.

Can you add and remove pages from your book? If so, you could carry 20 -25 pages and then when they are signed, switch them out for blank ones in your room. Your book will still be small to carry and you can make enough for everyone to sign.

We had over 100 autographs our last trip. We used all 100 pages and if it was a meet and greet where you got your picture with more than one character at a time, they signed the same page (so Tianna and Naveen were on the same page, Aladdin and Jasmine, Belle and Beast, Woody and Buzz, King Louie & Baloo, Mary Poppins and the penguins, etc). If you go looking, you can find quite a few characters :-)

We made a book like this....

and buy the blank index cards. I take a 500 pack with us and switch them out each day. We see alot of characters and sometimes more than once.

Then when we get home we make a nice photo album for our DD with a picture of her and the character on one side and their signature on the other. We bought these really nice disney purse albums in downtown disney for a really great price!

Great ideas everyone! I made the autograph books myself, they're about half a page in size. I made the fronts and backs out of flexible plastic binders and customized autograph book DISigns (courtesy of Milliepie). The pages inside are multicolored, I cut them all on my paper cutter (thank goodness for paper cutters!) I haven't decided how to bind them yet, originally I was going to get them spiral bound, but now am considering a small binder style clip so that I can add/remove pages as a previous poster suggested. I'm going to take it to Staples next week.

Thanks!
