How many or how far into the future are your trips planned?

We generally book 12-18 months out for DCL, twelve months out for Marriott and 11 months out for DVC (and then again at 7 months if we switch to a non-home resort).

Our most recent exception was a last minute decision to attend the D23 event at WDW where we booked SSR about one week out.

Like most people here I usually have 2-3 trips planned/sketched out in my head in advance. However since I'm coming over from England those trips are at least 2 years apart so I have a rough sense of what I'm going to be doing with my points for about 5 years at a time!

We usually have at least 2 trips booked on paper and are always thinking about next year. Right now we only have Sept/Oct 2011 booked as things are a bit up in the air for our family in the next year. But we have talked about all different combinations including Aulani, a cruise and WDW in May and/or Sept 2012.

A couple of months ago, I had things pretty much planned through 2014. Included were WDW Food & Wine trips, a WDW trip with the oldest grandchild before she turns 10, a DL trip, a Napa Valley/Alaska cruise trip for our 25th, and an Aulani/Big Island trip.

Thank goodness I have it on the computer so I can revise it!

We just returned from a week stay at our Napa timeshare, and we now want to go every year. Please don't tell anyone I said so, but for just the two of us it was even more fun than F&W. Decisions must be made.

As soon as we get back from one Food & Wine trip we start planning the next one. It is a tradition to stay in a Std View at BWV so we book at exactly 11 months to ensure that.

we always book 11 months out for OCT FWF and we use to do the same for May for the Flower power concerts but don't anymore because they cut back on the concerts during the wk

We have 2 more left for this year, but I'm working on 5 for next year. I think I have to start calling for January in June. I'll be using the 7 mo. window for Jan/Apr-May/Aug and the 11 mo. window for Oct/Dec.

For 25th anniversary cruise, we booked 18 months in advanced.
Every since owning DVC, booked OKW at 11 months out for annual 2nd week of Dec get away.

I typically have 3 DVC trips booked/planned. Right now I have a trip booked for September, One for the end of October, and then a 4night stay & Disney crusie booked for February 2012. However, I only have flights booked for our September trip so far. I usually purchase airfare at about 90 days out (if possible)

July - DCL Dream, BLT & AKV

Oct - SSR (MNSSHP) & Portofino (HHN, hopefully a RIP tour again)

Youngest DS will be graduating from HS next week, no longer will we have to travel to FLA in the summer heat!!!!

Same kid burnt out on disney trips, the mr & I will have to muddle through on our own until GD is old enough to drag along. Up in the air as to what new travel patterns will emerge for us, rather exciting .

Trying to work out a trip to DL again June next year to attend a convention & swing past Vegas but will book something for mid May jik airfare is a killer to west coast.
