When my DH was still alive we didn't normally have a big dinner on Christmas.. Every Christmas Eve we hosted a huge party in our not-so-big house, with all kinds of food and goodies - so on Christmas Day we would just munch on the leftovers whenever we felt like it..:goodvibes

Will you do turkey again - or something different? :)

We really only have turkey on Thanksgiving. We're having Beef Wellington for Christmas this year - I'm really looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

No...it's too time consuming. My kids are still young so I want to enjoy it while they're at this age. I usually have a lasagne (which I make the day before).

We always have Beef Wellington. It is to die for! My fil is an amazing cook and he and DH love to spend the day making it for a very appreciative audience. My dd's usually cut out and decorate the top of the puff pastry to make it pretty.

We do ham for Christmas. I love ham. It does not be none left.

I wish. We have ham, which I hate. I liked it OK when I was little but can't stand it now. My mom always goes to the deli Christmas Eve day and picks up some roast beef for me, though, so I'll be good. :)

We'll have turkey or ham. Not sure which. I am considering making a lasagna, though, with garlic bread and caesar salad. The PP above got me thinking about lasagna. I like lasagna more than turkey or ham. I'll have to talk to my hubby about it.

We have Roast Beef for Dinner on Christmas. For me I have to have Turkey on Thanksgiving. Once a year is fine though since My Turkey Intimidates me.

My Sis is cooking Prime Rib :thumbsup2

But we do have an extra turkey in the freezer and if they blow them out tomorrow I might get another. I love turkey....I think I need a sammy now...dinner was early for us 3pm and we're watching Survivor and they always make me hungry because they are starving.

WOW OT or what :lmao::lmao::lmao:

We are having a pork roast on Christmas eve at our house and Christmas day we do Roast Beef at my Grandma's.

No turkey at this house either holiday. It's far too bland! :crazy2:

Not sure yet.
We have a ton of turkey leftover since I did a 19 pound one for the 2 of us.
We will be in AZ for Christmas, but still just the same 3 of us (1 doesn't meat the meat).
Leaning toward something different, maybe a roast, but not sure.

Mom and Dad will do turkey, ham and probably lasagna... yeah we have a big family

Inlaws will do ham only

I will probably be working afternoon shift that day so I will just take some left overs froms moms.

Maybe, either that or ham. But either way, I'm making it. My poor mother can't cook to save her life, so I'm going to try to make everything for x-mas this year. :lmao:

my mother has made stuffed shells for as long as i can remember, for Christmas. and sometimes even Lasagana, since she's Italian(and Irish obviously lol) so we love anything involving sauce!

my DH's family does ham on Christmas which is ok, but i'm more for the shells and lasagana!!:thumbsup2

I'm breaking a very long tradition this year and not doing turkey but keeping it simple with beef tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, caesar's salad and some type of other veggie.

I'm hosting the family party the night before so I know I won't have time to a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

We're having turkey for Christmas. We'll do ham for Easter.
