I watch very little.
In my growing up years, I used to watch a LOT of TV. Then in college, we did not have cable and not a lot of time, and I got away from watching TV.

As a young mother, I used to watch TV again. But as the years went on, I watched less and less. I blame it on the HUGE number of channels and the remote. DH and I have different tastes in what we like to watch. And it was always more important for him to watch what he wanted than what I wanted. Then when I DID sit down to watch, I could not stand the channel surfing. No sooner did I begin to become involved in some program - CLICK - it was off to ANOTHER channel.

So I am not very in tune with all of the popular shows. :( I read about them in the newspaper though. :) And besides, I really am offended by MUCH of what is shown on TV these days. So I guess I am better off.

Thank God for the internet and this site. It is how I spend what would be "my TV time." And saves on arguments (well, MOST of the time) about what it on TV. I do note what is on most of the time because the TV is to my back as I am on the computer and can hear it.

Does anyone else watch little TV?

I haven't watched the three major networks in years aside from football games. I get virtually all of my news from the newspaper and the NET. We do enjoy having HBO for an occasional movie, and I have tuned in to CNN for breaking news stories.

I watch very very little TV. My DH watches all the time so I listen to it a lot (TV & computer are in the same room). I watch so much less than I used to in college!

I don't watch much tv. My SO and my kids do, but usually what they watch isn't very interesting to me or I've seen it before.

I get most of MY news from radio. I listen to local talk radio most of the day. Guess that is another thing that got me away from the TV.

My family watches very little tv. We don't watch anything on the three major networks at night. The only show I do watch on one of the major networks is Good Morning America and occasionally Regis & Kelly, then the tv goes off or I will turn on HGTV for background noise during the day. I don't watch soap operas, we don't watch sitcoms or reality shows either. DH and I enjoy catching a Seinfeld rerun now and then. DSs and I enjoy the Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel, an occasional movie on HBO or Showtime, or else we'll watch one of our DVDs. DSs will also occasionally watch Nickelodeon, Nick at Night, Disney, or Cartoon Network. Only DS11 watches Cartoon Network and I really can't even remember the last time I saw him watching it. DH watches CNN regularly.

Before I had kids, I worked fulltime and enjoyed some nighttime shows such as Dallas, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, etc, but its been over 14 years since I've watched anything like that.

I also watch little tv, and the little i do tends to be the history channel/discovery channel/HBO. I rarely watch the big 3 other than for some local news. Most news i find from the paper/internet/radio!!

I don't watch it too much at all. I like things like A& E, Discovery Channel, and the History channel. But I actually could live without one.

Oh Seaspray! That is when I recall really enjoying TV! I watched Dallas, Falcon Crest, Dynasty, St. Elsewhere, LA Law. I am sure that there were a few others. That is when DH and I actually used to watch TV TOGETHER!!! :)

I'll turn it on every once in a while to see what is on but I don't watch any of the shows that are popular....I really like old movies so I'll try to catch those...but they are few and far between now...:(
I like to read and do other stuff....like get on the computer! LOL

I don't have any programs that I watch regularly. I rarely watched television at all until 9/11/01 then I started watching too much (all those news channels). I found that watching so many news channels was really making me depressed so I stopped watching those and turned the television to TVLand for old reruns.

I will turn it on for company when DH is away in the evenings but I DIS instead of watch, usually :)

I watch little TV compared to the rest of my family. I do like my 3 soaps during the day....Bold and Beautiful, As the World Turns and Guiding Light. I watch WWE Raw and Smackdown and bits and pieces of the Amazing Race and Survivor....oh and I like House Hunters on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

I rarely watch tv....mainly because I have no idea how to turn the dumb thing on. If you watch a DVD, you turn on this remote and push that button and then turn on that with this remote....BUT, then if you want to watch the satellite, well THEN, it's the OTHER remote, after you've pushed this, and that, and this on remote #2 ...Ooook, course then there's remote number three if you want to use the VCR with the tv, and then naturally you push a completely different set of buttons in an entirely different order. Now, if you just want to watch local channels? Well, then you go to remote #4 used in conjunction with remote #2...... annnnd by then the #$%@ show is over anyway.

LOL Kama! I KNOW that I would not go through THOSE hoops to watch TV! :)

I only watch television when I am chatting with someone and they tell me about a show, and then I watch television with my friends over the Internet. I usually watch Disney Channel with my friend Gretchen in Chicago. We like Kim Possible. It may sound funny, but I live alone, so this is the closest I get to nightly companionship.

I only regularly watch The Amazing Race and Survivor on network TV and news on CNN and FoxNews but I do like to sometimes catch some reruns on Sci-Fi, Lifetime, TV Land and Nick at Nite. I also like to watch the Crocodile Hunter, Emergency Vets and Emeril sometimes and some of the English comedies when I can catch them. Then finally, I like to watch some of the old movies on TMC and some of the shows on the Travel Channel.

This actually sounds like a lot!

I watch a LOT when I am working, and almost none when I am not.

I watch too much TV but I can DIS, work and watch at the same time :) If I could clean house and do my fix up projects during that time I'd be all set ;)
