how many of you that have been married a while

Will be married 20 years this year. Had 11 attendants, still are in touch with 10 of the 11. 2 were my sisters, 2 were DH's sisters, the other 7 were friends. Sister in law married one of our friends and 3 of our good friends are still really good friends, two we are in touch with, but just casually and one we have lost touch with (unfortuneately).

we will be married 17 years in May. we had 8 attendants total. my maid of honor married one of the groomsmen (we communicate by christmas cards only). One of the groomsmen died. One bridesmaid fell off of the face of the earth (knew her from kindy-college). Strange very strange. Other than that we see everyone frequently. :thumbsup2

We've been married 14 years.

The only non-family members I had standing up with me was my MOH and she is my best friend. We don't talk often or get together regularly but it's more of those once we get a chance to talk to each other we spend a while on the phone catching up, etc... I was in both her weddings. We have kids about the same age and we are fairly close by, just that between all our schedules we just don't really get together.

As for my husband, he doesn't talk to his Best Man very often but again it's one of those they can go months & months & months without talking and then they will call each other for some reason and it's like there was no time between.

He had another groomsman that he never talked to since the wedding...we aren't even sure what happened to him. DH heard he moved or something. They weren't great friends anyway but more like acquaintances (and he needed another guy since I also had my sister in the wedding).

We only had a MOH, my sister, and a Best Man, who we are still close to. He was married last Fall and just had a daughter. He and Chris are still great friends.

I had six bridesmaids and my husband had six groomsmen. My MOH, my best friend, died at age 31. We were still best friends when she died. My husband and I are still very close to all the rest of our bridal party.

My Maid of Honor and I don't speak AT ALL anymore, and the rest of my party were family.
Same thing with my wife...

(I still speak to her Maid of Honor's husband, although I don't see him very often. My wife says she doesn't care, but I know she does... :) It's a stupid fight and they should get over it, and I'm not going to participate in it.)

But I see one of the guys in my wedding every week at church, and I play poker with him and two others every few months.
