I am finding my self in the position of requesting a doctors note because I have to turn down a position I was offered due to the nature of the place and in order to keep my benefits I had to take this one or a paying position but due to my anxiety I had to take another one that can't pay me and some times I wish I was not so different.

Sorry about the lack of punctuation

A doctor's note for what? You're under no obligation to change jobs and you don't need to prove why. Medical benefits, flexibility in my hours, proximity to doctors, not having to change schools and things like that are definitely considerations for me with jobs. I could have taken much higher paying jobs over the years but these intagibles are very valuable to me. I certainly don't need a doctor's note for my decision though.

Or are you saying that you're on disabilty and volunteering while collecting and you've been offered a paid position but in order to take it you'd lose your disability benefits? I believe that's much more than a doctor's note needed but I really don't know anything about that process. If you know you can't work at a particular place due to your disability then obviously you shouldn't be applying. Did they give you the offer without you applying? Why do you have to prove why you can't take the position? Do you have to prove to your case worker why? Does your case worker even know that you've been offered the job? I guess I'm not fully following your situation.

Possibly, this thread might be a better fit for the disABILITIES Community board when it can be moved?

and yes it needs to be moved

In some areas disability benefits are tied to seeking practical benefical employment if possible, so just as a guess I am thinking this might be the issue.

OP did you ask for accomodations to be able to manage the employment enviroment? A letter from the employer stating that the inherant nature of the job is such that modifications are not pratical due to the nature of your disabilty is actually much more valuable than a note from a doctor.

Thanks for the advice

Just got back from talking to my mom and we looked over everything and a letter of any sorts might not be necessary but thanks for allowing me to vent

good luck and keep trying. You are not so different, there are a lot of us out there and the clincal and employment worlds are just begining to "get us" and the gifts we have despite our EF, sensory and social differences.
