How many of ya'll been "bitten" by the Concierge "bug"!

We just returned from WL concierge. We asked for (and got) an upsell rate on check-in. It was awesome. On the weekends, the floor was SOLD OUT. That is how popular it is.

Now, I am in pre-planning for our October visit and we will be staying DVC, but DH has asked for me to see if we can do concierge for part of our stay.

Is that being bitten or what?

I know the feeling. They are great up there on the 7th floor at the Lodge.

Hi Steffy!

And, in case no one has done this.....

When in Dec are you planning to stay at the Poly concierge?
(I just LOVE that place!)

No they hadn't Bambi, thank you!!!

My crew (two rooms at Poly, one room at Swan) will be there from Dec. 17-27th. :Pinkbounc

You are very welcome, Steffy!

Hmmm...you should be able to get AP rates.
Since your first night is on the 17th, that should fall in the value season. And, they go by that first night for your rates.

Whoa! Have ya'll read/seen all the anti-concierge threads since this little puppy got started?

Concierge is like MTV...some people just don't "get it"!;)

But, boy, do I LOVE IT !!!!!!:bounce:

k&a&c'smom.....how's your trip planning going?:wave2:

This will be my dream trip and I just want it to be wonderful. I want the pampering. I love tonga toast, so I probably will not take part in the breakfast, but just the thought of coffee in the morning, before I have to go to the restaurant is wonderful. Coffee. And to watch Wishes from the lounge. That's what I want to do.

We are planning up a storm. Can't wait!!

I know not everyone has a wonderful an experience as some others on the CL of a Disney resort. It is so nice to see a thread with different opinions of the different resorts and no flaming going on! I have stayed at the Poly CL (not impressed) I thought the YC and BC CL both were OK. Then I tried the BWI and I loved it. The cast feel like old friends there. It is so true that once you have been bitten it is so hard to stay anywhere else. I just can't see my self at one of the other resorts, even though I am sure they are wonderful too. The BWI suits my need and feeds my passion for being pampered while on vacation. I do appreciate everything the cast does and have written letters, and sent gifts to both the staff and planners. I have worked with one planner for the past 2 years and she keeps the magic alive in her arrangements for my trips. When we girls all go in March we have put together an envelope of Disney Dollars for her and her husband to enjoy dinner at their favorite place in Epcot. I will let you allin on what she has done for our trip as it is a surprise for one of our friends and she reads these boards!!! I can't wait to return with my husband in Oct.

We stayed Poly concierge last Feb and now we're hooked.
Unfortunetly I think we spoiled our kids. We've booked two trips after that and they had to be concierge. I admit, I'm spoiled also!
I rather spend the extra money than on something on the house! :bounce:

Thank you, KerryCM! And welcome to our humble little thread!:)
I see no point in arguing about which concierge is the best, etc....
the point is...CL is a wonderful resort experience!

What another wonderful gift idea for our CMs in concierge!
I can't wait to read what she does for you all, too!

I don't know if you've read this whole thread, but BWI and GF concierge are the only two I haven't experienced!
And, I am very intrigued by both of them esp BWI!
I am looking forward to more of everyone's experiences of their favorite, and not so favorite, concierges.

I was telling SIL earlier tonight that WDW has something for everyone, in every budget, taste, and preference.
And that, includes concierge levels.
::yes::

Never give up on booking your concierge room! When planning for our trip I decided to change from standard to concierge at the Poly (posted about earlier in the thread.) Well, when I first called, the CM told me LVC was not available for all those days, only the second part of my stay. I booked a split reservation. After I hung up the phone, I realized I should have tried to split my stay between a GVC and LVC room, not a standard. I called back not ten minutes later and gave a different CM my dates. She asked, "Why would you want to split your stay, I have LVC available for all your dates". I gave her the dates again and asked "are you sure" about ten times (I called back a few times to double check as well). :teeth: :jumping1:
And as I've said before, ANYTHING that gets my DH to want to travel has to be a magical thing! For us, concierge is the only way our family will get to have a vacation!!!

Just checked the Disney site-looks like AKL and BWI concierge are available for Apr 6-10. Hope this helps!

K&A&C's mom, please keep calling! I just got off the phone and was able to convert EVERY day of my reservation to concierge at AKL!! On my first two calls I was only able to do a split stay. I thought I'd call tonight and see If I could change a day or two from standard savannah to concierge, and I was able to change ALL of them! This is the week after you, but people ARE changing their reservations or dropping them totally so it is possible!

YEAH! I've stayed concierge, but never for the entire time and NEVER for the first day. It will be nice to be wisked up to my home away from home on the first day and not have to wait at check in!

A few years ago on my first trip to WDW since a kid, my wife and I stayed in a honeymoon suite in the GF. We felt soooo spoiled and had a wondeful trip. I only wish each trip could be as special as a Royal Palm expierience!!!
Having someone meet you outside and skip the check in line. And the ropes.....couldn't go home without buying one of those.
The following year we stayed in the then Dixie Lndings resort. Even though it was a nice resort.........no way did it compare.
Now we belong to the DVC and couldn't imagine staying without a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the room.

Wow do I feel spoiled!!
