How many middle names do you have?

My daughter has 2 middle names. My DH and I had a hard time eliminating one of the 3 names we came up with.

My godmother has 2. When she was baptized, her godmother said her name was Greer and Cecilia. When my grandmother received her baptismal certificate, it read Greer Anne Cecilia .

I have two... My Dh has two as well...
I sign my full name - all four of them.... I was bummed when I had to decide between my middle names and hyphenating my last name... Five names to sign every shot would be way too much!

My parents didn't give me a middle name, it wasn't the thing in the Philippines back then. How it works would be taking the mother's last name(before she got married) and making it your middle name, then you father's last name would be your last name. Then when you marry, you drop your mother's last name, and making your father's last name your middle name and then you would take your husband's last name.

If you count the confirmation name (which I don't), I have two. But I really only have one. And one of these days, I'm going to legally switch it so that I have only an initial.

Even DH doesn't know my middle name. My parents, sibling, and best friend know it and that's it.

It's horrid.

Disneyadore those are lovely old fashioned names -I wish we heard those more often.

I go by my middle name. I would not recommend it to anyone it just confuses things. My parents liked my middle name -but it did not sound good in front.

There are a group of Irish Travelers in my area that give there children tons of middle names. Saints names.

I have 2-my choice. I didn't want to drop my middle or maiden name when I got married, but I didn't want to hyphenate last names. Both names meant a lot to me. My middle name is after my favorite aunt, and I'm very attached to my maiden name. So I just added DH's last name to the end! Since my two middle initials are JR, I sometimes get mail to EnglishTeacha Jr. I know that's junk mail! DH writes code and hates trying to write code to accomodate 2 middle initials for computer programs.

Now that I'm married, I legally changed my name to include both my given middle name and maiden name as my middle names. I was given 1 by my parents, but that is the name I go by. So now on legal documents, including my drivers license, I have 4 names.

ETA: My first given name is Catherine, middle name Amanda. I prefer Catherine, but my parents did not.

I do not reccommend any parent calling their children by their middle name. It's confusing.
