How many Michigan DVC's are there?

I was just curious how many people are from Michigan and maybe my neighbor. We live in Rochester and have been a DVC since 2000. We have enjoyed 4 trips and can't wait to go again. Let's go Disney.

My sister lives in Michigan and we are planning her family's first WDW, DVC trip and they are as excited as I still am with each trip. Does that count?

Let's see...
The Census bureau's estimate for Michigan's population as of July 2002 is very close to 10M. The whole country is very close to 290M. DVC claims 60K members. So if they are proportionally distributed, Michigan should have

60K * 10M/290M = a smidgen over 2000 members

Of course, Michigan being the high class state that it is , it probably has more than its share of DVC members.

We have been DVC member for just about a year now. We currently live in Lincoln Park, but hope to change that soon.

Wel have been DVC member since 1997, and are up to 700 pts by now, since we love to go to Disney about 3 times per year. We started going in 1976, so we have been there lots of times. We live in Ludington. My daughter, who lives in Chicago, was a member till we bought her points. My brother who lives in Milford, and my niece, who lives in Allen Park, are also members. We're a real Disney Family!

We are from Livonia and bought our points at the BCVs last March. We have made way too many trips to count, but average now 3 to 4 times a year. We were down in December and our next trips are already planned; Easter, mid June, first week of Aug, and December 11- 14!

Last time DH and I drove was back when we were young and foolish, back in 1978, and almost got divorced in Georgia !! NEVER again.

We fly now, using SWA or NWA. I got a great deal back in Dec on my Easter flights on SWA and already have my Dec flights booked on NWA!

We live in Westland, and just bought in August. Our First trip won't be until May for my boyfriends 21st birthday. We are staying at the Boardwalk.

We live in Clarkston, Michigan! We own at both VWL and BCV and we couldn't be happier with our purchases!! I am so excited to see all of the Michigan DVC'rs out there!! I am originally from Livonia, and most of my family still lives there so I am there quite often. It sure seems like I see alot of Livonians out there!! I just wanted to say that I LOVE DVC and I LOVE this board!!

We are in Greenville, we also just bought last March- first trip home will be this July.

We always fly, if we drove (which means me since my DH hates to drive) we would also be divorced. We usually fly on NWA out of Grand Rapids.

We became proud DVC members in 1998. We go 4-5 times a year. We drive straight thru with 3 kids. We have a full size van so that helps!

We've been proud dvc'ers since '94 from GR. We used to drive and now we fly. No matter how you get there, the important thing is to GET THERE!

Well, we lived in South Lyon, Mi as of lastSeptember - and the DVC idea for us born there- but purchased as of last week from out here in Oregon. Hope you'll accept us as part of the Michigan fam- because it's still our home to us!

Another Westland DVC member here - we've been happy members since June 1992 when only a few buildings were already built at OKW. We just luv that place and we get down there at least 3 times a year now that our kids are grown. We are heading down to the Member Cruise and a stay at OKW as well as looking for some property in Florida for our future home-base. Can't wait to hear those beautiful words - "Welcome Home!"

Glad to see all those Michigan people out there. We drive staight thru and it takes about 19 hours. We also have two kids, but like Sandune Says it helps with a full size van. We have 300 points and are thinking of getting more. Do you ever have enough points? Cruelladeville do you always use all 700? Everbody can be from Michigan if they lived here or even have family here.

We are from MI too! We live in Brownstown and joined DVC on our honeymoon in 2000.

We usually drive straight through as well and can make it in about 17.5-18 hours........we drive through the night, so traffic is at a minimum....

We own points at BWV, VB, and VWL....we are thinking of adding more at VB or doing an add on at HH.....

We are from Livonia, Michigan. We fly twice a year. We are fairly new members at BCV with 900 points. I don't think I could handle the drive with my 5 and 6 year old, I did it once right after high school and don't want to do it again.

My parents are also members at BCV, they are from Westland and they drive each time, my mom is terrified to fly.

P.S. just wanted to let you all know it case you were not aware, there is a Michigan DIS meet planned for next month. A bunch of us Michigan Disney Lovers get together and chat, I went to my first one a few months ago and it was really fun to meet everyone I talk to on here. I can't remember the exact date, I will look it up and post it, if no one else does before me. The place is 12 Oaks Mall Food Court, in Novi.
