How many lose xmas ornaments?

We took are Christmas tree down today, and I lose a ornament. It's a special one also it;s from my dd first Christmas (1994). How many other lose Christmas ornaments? It makes me very sad that I had to lose a special one. I've looked high and low and so had dh and we can't find it.

This was the first year for us to loose a lot. Our tree crashed I lost one baby's first Christmas but luckily I had several but what broke that made me cry was my Mickey mouse through the years. 5 hand blown ornaments. Three broke. I looked on ebay to replace them and a guy had a 2 that were broken but wanted $29 a piece. Plus I had the same set in crystal and one broke but easily glued can't tell it even fell off but then when I was putting them away I another one had a round colored crystal ball missing. Needless to say it had gone for good.
We usually find an ornament or too on the tree once it is on the brush pile! Good luck hope you find it!

I've lost a couple over the years...fortunately, not too many...unfortunately, they're all pretty much special to me. My ornaments are my one true collection.

Do you use a real tree? I always assume that they've gotten stuck between the branches & we just can't see them - even though I now have DH give the tree a good shake when he gets it outside. I no longer return all the ornaments to the boxes - I just bubble wrap everything. I guess I'll never know when I lose another. I can't decide if that's good or bad.

I'm sorry you had to lose a special one! Maybe it just fell into a bag or box & will turn up next year when you are wrapping presents!
