I am assuming that if you are reading this, that you can speak English?:confused3
So then, besides English how many OTHER languages can you speak (in other words, don't count English in your answer)

The only other language I can speak pretty fluently is Spanish. I also know a little Sign language, and studied arabic for a linguistics course in college, but I will have to vote just 1 - Spanish

I can get by in Spanish. And, as you can see from my tag, I speak food in German. :rotfl: I lived in Germany for a year--the only thing I can do is order in a restaurant and ask where the bathroom is. Obviously, the two most important things.

Only one for me - English. I did learn Spanish in HS, but can't speak it. I can pick up certain words, but that's about it.

I took Spanish in high school, but the only thing I remember is how to ask where my pants are.

I am nearly fluent in Sign Language.

I only speak English and I would like to learn something else. I'm trying to decide between Chinese and Japanese.

I'm not fluent, but I speak French and Spanish.

I didn't include them because I can barely speak enough to get by, but I do know some Italian and German as well.

I can speak French pretty fluently and I'm learning Spanish now. I know enough to get by but would like to become more fluent.

I wish I was fluent in another language, but I've always had trouble with them. I know bits and pieces of Spanish (learned in high school), Japanese (learned in college), and ASL (learned from my mother, who taught special education for twenty five years)

I voted 2, one I am fluent and the other very proficient.

I can also get by in another 2.

I can speak German pretty fluent and can read most of it too-I even dream in German-I have lots of realtives who still live in Germany and was sent there when I was eleven-that's how I learned the language(emmersion)

I really really want to learn Spanish too!!! Since I work in a Big ER-it would be very helpful!!!

You need to vote "2".

English, Japanese, strong French (but not fluent)

I know French pretty well, but I'm not fluent. I know enough Spanish and some ASL. I also know a little Farsi.

Kimya

I'm not fluent, but I do speak some Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese.

Besides English, I speak Spanish fairly well. In fact I just finished a couple hours of studying today - am trying to get back into the swing of speaking it regularly.

I can speak some Spanish but understand it better when written, but not nearly enough to get by if someone plopped me down in Mexico or Spain. I used to speak more Japanese when we lived there but now I know the basics like, "Where's the bathroom?", "How much is this?," and "What time is it?"

Fluent in Spanish and English - can bluff my way through some basic French. Would like to learn Chinese!

English and Joanne talk.

I have my own language yet some of people on Dis understand it now.

I feel sorry for them.:sad2:
