How many Kentucky folks are out there?

Born in Greenup County (went to high school with Billy Ray Cyrus), went to college in Danville, law school in Lexington, married a girl from Carlisle County, lived in Bowling Green, now live in Louisville and work at Ft. Knox. Is that Kentucky enough for ya?

I see a lot our fellow Kentuckians on the Dis, too. Good to see the Bluegrass State represented.

My husband works at Ft. Knox!

born & raised in Maysville .. went to Northern Kentucky University .. lived in NKy for a couple of years before relocating to Elizabethtown in 1992.

We have driven to WDW, but usually fly out of Nashville. In fact, we're part of the fall break exodus next week!

Another Kentuckian checkin' in.

Just moved this summer from Louisville to Glasgow. Now we're 2 hours closer to the World.

When in Louisville, I worked downtown and someone who parked in my parking garage had a plate that read "LUVWDW." Always wondered if they were Disers, but never saw the driver.

Talk about small world, I was born and raised in Glasgow. I went to college at WKU but married my military man and having been moving around ever since. All my family still live in Glasgow though. We visit several times a year.

To the person who asked about driving: We have driven from Glasgow to Orlando many times. It really doesn't seem like a bad trip. Of course, keep in mind, this is coming from the family who drove from AK to FL one summer so my definition of "bad" may be different than anyone else's. LOL

We are loving Glasgow. Everyone is so nice, the school system is great, and no traffic (something we hated in Louisville).

I was born in Florida and lived there till I was 10, when we moved to KY. Most of my extended family still lives in FL, and although it's a nice place to visit, I would never move back. KY is such a beautiful state!!

More extras are needed for Disney's 'Secretariat!'

If you'd like to participate in the lights, cameras and action, just show up at Keeneland on Monday September 28th and Tuesday, September 29th at 8 a.m. to sign in. All types and ages are needed and must dress in 70's clothing.

We're told the first 250 extras will receive free hot dogs and drinks.

Officials said to park, just follow the signs for 'Chestnut' at Keeneland.

Those interested in being an extra should bring snacks, drinks (no alcohol) and a good book.

That would be so much fun, wish I could go be an extra as I saw Secretariat run when I was a kid at Saratoga after he had won the triple crown. He was such a beautiful horse and when he ran he just flew

Lots over here on this side of the state near Louisville and Fort Knox and several in the eastern part of Kentucky.

My DH works on Fort Knox too and maybe I have seen some of you at Walmart in Radcliff or E-town I bet

Wow... I'm jealous!! I never got to lay eyes on Big Red myself, but as a child he was such an inspiration to me. His Belmont victory was like watching a miracle in motion. It still brings tears to my eyes to watch it and I can't exactly explain why.

I did get to meet Penny Chenery a few years back. When she speaks of him, you know how much she loved him.

You all missed some excitement at the E-town McDonald's yesterday afternoon. I took my DS3 and cousin 4 to KY Railway Museum then we went to McDonald's. After they ate, of course they wanted to play Things went well for twenty minutes or so then I looked up in the play area that is visible from the ground and they were absolutely fighting...it looked like a mix between a boxing match & wrestling! No other kids were in there but they were arguing about who went down the slide first. After a few minutes they both came down, her hair was everywhere, faces were red, scratches on their faces, and both in tears. Of course neither one of them started it!

Hi all, another born and raised Kentuckian here. I love Kentucky!
We have driven to WDW for the past 5 years. Not too bad of a drive, but it would be nice to just fly down sometime. Our last trip was in August, we had a great time.
