I was curious, how many people traded 80 times (or pins) or more at the great pin adventure?

Lauri said about 15 people did. I don't remember all of them, but they included Daber, Ashley (Atlnewf), Shawn, JamesD, and others I know I'm forgetting.

The real monster created was David, Nancy's (Perdita) husband. I don't think he was really into pin trading before this, but once given a passport, he was a man on a mission!! Nancy, it's been nice seeing you in chat, but I think David's going to be on the computer Thursday nights at 9 PM eastern time from now on. :D

And you guys should have seen the prizes handed out!

As Eeyore would say, "Thanks for noticin me Matt"!

I traded 86 pins between friday and saturday. It was so much fun!!

Winnie

Seventeen people made at least 80 trades including two children. I can attest to Winnie's trading frenzy as she frantically worked to get her 80 before the deadline on Saturday night.

The Passport idea seemed very popular not only with the participants but also with the Cast Members. While Trina and I were at the Animal Kingdom on Monday, we ran into a Cast Member who had signed our passports last Thursday. He proclaimed, "I remember you! I was trade number seven in your book!" He went on to tell about his experiences with other Great Pin Adventurers and how much fun he had.

I (Deb) was one of the people to get 80 - I got organized and made a grid for my signatures. It was a lot of fun!!!!

Thank you for everything guys!

(Jack - my hubby (Tigger's Trust) was another who made his 80!)

It was great to meet everyone --- we made great trades and met great people who we hope to keep in touch with.

Thanks so much!!!:Pinkbounc

Sorry, Winnie and anyone else I forgot. :) I was going off memory last night.

Jeff's right! The most unexpected thing about the passports was the CMs reactions.

It's true, I didn't make it into the "80's club" only got 64 because I spent all of Friday with my family doing rides at MK, but when I went up to a CM they grabbed their pen before I even looked at their pins. I had to trade with them because knew how badly they wanted to sign my book.
It was really fun. Peggie

It did sound like the cast members liked the passport. Shawn has some interesting signatures in his - cast members that drew pictures and some that wrote a little bit besides signing, one from a monorail pilot when he sat in front and got his co-pilot license and so on. But the one that he told me about was Bob, the Haunted Mansion Butler. Bob, was trying to verify one of the "Where in the World" pictures for Shawn since the ride was still closed. Afterwards he wanted to sign Shawn's passport for a trade, but didn't have anything but his cast pin. So he told Shawn he'd trade him his cast pin, but then he had to trade it right back...so they did. Thus we have "#81 - Bob, the Haunted Mansion Butler"!

Another in the "80 Club" was my DW, Carol.....who doesn't trade pins (LOL) and doesn't collect pins (but has more than you can store in a pin binder). She told AZ Jeff that he had turned her into a crazy woman with this whole idea and that CMs were fleeing from us when they saw the passport!

I really think the CMs enjoyed this more than we did. You can only be told so many times, "You have nothing good on your lanyard. I don't want to trade with you". We'd walk up and they'd say "There's nothing good on the lanyard" and we'd say "I don't care" and then put something good/ or had never seen on their lanyard.

Jeff, had a blast. Thanks for a Great weekend. It made up for the other weekend horrors.

Agreed Daber! GPAII Passort hunting was ALOT of fun!! I think we made 2 CMs WEEK over in England!! Cynthia, JoJoCT and I had alot of fun going around World Showcase putting land specific pins on lanyards, Pooh & Marry Poppins in England, Belle and Beast in France, Abu in Morroco, and Pinochio in Italy. Sometimes we took pins from the "wrong" land and put them in the right one. Had a BLAST!!! Hope this, or something like it remain part of future GPAs.

Yes the lanyard hunt was the best!

We traded lots - and even decided to try doing the passport thing past the event (we were there until Monday night) -- but the magic was gone for us ---- because after all it is the hunt that is exciting! But we will definitely keep our passports near and dear to us...

We had several cast members sign the country they are actually from, or the land that they worked in... One said "So you can remember me better...) It was just too cool!

It was more difficult with the more pin people you hung out with. (LOL) -- but not impossible, as we managed to do it!

Overall -- It was a blast and we can't wait to do it again!

Dom and I did have sooooo much fun trading around the World Showcase. My passport has lots of wonderful messages and I will keep it always.

Oh, and BTW, not only was I successful in getting 80 signatures, I won third place in the drawing and received a GORGEOUS book on the Art of Pocahantos. I will treasure that always, too.

Now, if only I had had time to do the scavenger hunt, too!

Cynthia
