How many have gotten their CBR room request ?

We were thinking about taking a trip in October and wow I think the prices have gone up ! I was going to book preferred but decided maybe to book standard and request the building across the bridge. I was wondering how likely will it be to get our request. I dont want us to end up in boon docks some where. How many of you have gotten their room requests ?

We usually get our request for connecting rooms there but seldom have our building request granted. We prefer Aruba 56 for a number of reasons and seldom get it. Usually pretty close, though.

We have only requested a location twice at CBR. The first time, we requested ground floor in Jamaica and ended up in Martinique (building next to the preferred ones). That was the day of or day before Hurricane Katrina came through, and I don't know if it was because of people being unable to leave to due to weather at home, or because we checked in at 7:00 am and got a room that was ready, or what. The location was still good for us, and we did get ground floor.

This June, we requested second floor in Jamaica. DH checked us in, and we got second floor in Martinique. Again, an great non-preferred location, and we had no complaints. He was given a choice of a room that was ready, and he took it (15-hour drive to get there). This was also during the scheduled painting/outside refurb of the Jamaica section, and I don't know if all of the buildings were open or not. He didn't ask, and e don't know what we would have gotten if he had chosen a room that wouldn't be ready until later. Again, arrived early in the morning.

We requested first floor, near transportation. We were put in Jamaica 4606. The location was exactly what we had hoped for: right by the parking lot and bus stop, close to a smoking section. It was pretty much perfect!

I just requested as close to old port royale as possible. I'm really hoping we get something reasonably close. I'll find out in 20 days!

Last December I had my request for Jamaica 44 honored. Even so, I wouldn't book CBR again without paying for the preferred location. It wasn't a long walk to the front, but long enough to make getting my mug refilled a pain. And long enough to stop me from just popping into the shop to browse every so often.

In 2010 we had 3 rooms. I requested first floor, corner room in Jamaica 45 or 46 (I can't remember); a connecting room; AND an adjacent room. We got EXACTLY what I had requested and it was perfect!

We have 2 requests Jamaica 45 and 2nd floor and have gotten both granted 3 times

Wow you just didnt have much luck on your requests.

Hmmm maybe I should pay for preferred I think we will really like CBR but the only thing would be the walking.

Before our cruise, I didn't make any requests and we were placed in Barbados Bldg. 11 which is one of the furthest buildings from OPR (other than the pirate themed rooms) and our walk to OPR was only 7 minutes at a leisurely pace. Our walks from all other locations around the resort (we've stayed in all of the villages except Trinidad North and South), were 5 minutes or less.

In 2003 we requested Jamaica Bldg 44 with a garden/courtyard view and ground floor. We got our request and it had a very nice flower garden right outside our door too. My cousins usually get their requests, but they usually keep it simple too. Simpler request means you usually get the requests.
