I always wanted to know such as the Magic Kingdom. How many guests come to the park?

Here are the attendance numbers for 2015 at Walt Disney World in Orlando:

Magic Kingdom

Total:20,492,000
Average: 56,142

EPCOT

Total: 11,798,000
Average 32,323

Hollywood Studios

Total:10,828,000
Average: 29,665

Animal Kingdom

Total:10,922,000
Average: 29,923

Overall Totals

Overall Total: 54,040,000
Overall Average: 148,054

Magic kingdom averages around 55,000 per day. The other parks are between 25 and 30 thousand per day. These numbers translate to nearly 20 million a year for me and between 10 and 11 million for the others.

Wow! Whenever I'm there it doesn't look like all those people are there!

That's crazy!

Well, how would you see them all at once, when they're dispersed into different lands, rides, shops and/or restaurants. Stand at the exit at closing time, if you want to see what that kind of crowd looks like.

And this is the sad one. A HUGE park with the capacity for so many more than the others, with dead space that could be developed into some cool stuff, land that could add countries, empty buildings meant for unfinished attractions. This park has so much potential but for now is severely underutilized and in need of love. It has to be a destination for more than food and drink.

Just back and that was our big sentiment. Epcot used to be a favorite but now it is just loads of unnecessary walking. Nothing like looking at the app in "the land" and seeing FEA was finally running again just to walk all that way to find it got shut down again. lol

On first glance, 55K seems like an awful high number...but then I think about a college football game with 90K attendance and how quick a crowd can funnel out of a stadium after a game and I can believe the MK crowds. It makes Walt's decision to put the parking lot a mile and a half away seem a little short sighted. That is one heck of a bottleneck at the end of the fireworks.
