how many grooms here planned the Disney wedding?

just curious to know how common is it for the groom to do most of the planning.

probably not down the to details like flower colors, but does majority of the contacts and confirmations with vendors.

My husband did a lot of the communication with our SM as he is much better at negotiating and clearly stating what we wanted. We took on the task of wedding planning as a joint venture and together we made conference calls for many of our vendors and such. He was the one that initially found and interviewed our DJ, and bagpiper, as well as some other vendors that we considered using. For us it was also about who was avaialble when regarding making phone calls and returning emails. So no, you're not alone. I know of other husbands/fiance's who have done quite a bit of the wedding planning process.

My now husband did about 75% of the planning.I talked to my coordinator about 1 or 2 times.We had a custom wedding and he did a wonderful job.

The only bit my wife took care of was the hair and make-up. I did just about everything else. Oh, needed her guidance on flowers.

I am a Project Manager by day, so it all came pretty naturally to me. We were always on top of everything and had left nothing to chance.

Everything was perfect.
