We love to travel and getaway for long weekends. We always have something lined up to look forward to, but try to keep costs down as much as possible. For example, we recently got back from a 10 day camping trip to Maine which was very affordable.

Right now we have 4 things planned. Two more camping trips….one to Acadia for 5 days this coming month and one to Cape Cod in October for three days. We are going to Hilton Head Island for 10 days over Christmas and a New Years and then spending two weeks in Florida in February. After that, who knows?

What do you guys have lined up? Love hearing others plans and getting inspired to visit new places.

Alaska cruise in Sept. this year and next year
WDW in Oct and Dec
DLR in Feb and May
Netherlands river cruise in March
British Isle cruise in May

Those are the things that are booked.....always planning the next one

Going to WDW this Christmas with my parents and sister and we're staying at Beach Club and AKL (Savanna view).

Nothing planned after that. My friends are trying to plan a trip to Turkey for next year (Istanbul mostly but maybe going to Troy and Cappadocia) and they invited me. Unsure if I'll end up going but I might.

I have 2 trips booked - one to Miami for Christmas and then WDW in Jan for marathon weekend. I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Great Britain and Scotland for next summer. DH and DS are very fickle. Last year they wanted to see all 50 states, so I had the plans for doing that all mapped out, and now they don't want to do that anymore. They're more interested in international travel now

This week - Work trip to San Diego this week - husband is coming w/ me and we tacked on an extra 2 days
November -Trip to Hungary & Austria
Probably pop down to Florida Jan. or Feb to see my folks
March - work trip to Dallas
March - work trip to Las Vegas maybe, husband has same work trip so he'll be there as well
March - work trip to Cayman Islands, husband coming with me so we are making a week out of it.
Sometime in 2022 if it works out - Wales

In 2022 we did DW for 2 weeks in March, the transatlantic cruise from Miami to Barcelona in may, our annual dude ranch trip to a ranch in Colorado in June and a 3 week trip to Africa which we just completed a week ago. In sept we are going to aulani for 10 days, Mexico in puerto Vallarta for 10 days in October snd the turner classic movie cruise in November for 5 nights On the Dream. 2022 was so busy becsuse we were finally doing trips they had been put off since 2020.
For 2023 we have DW in March and the ranch in June. It’s feeling a little light so I need to get busy planning!

We're done for this year '22. :thumbsup2
:goodvibes Alas, us too. We took 5 separate trips between February and May, using up travel credits (and pent-up desire) accumulated from the cancellation of plans we'd made for vacations in 2020 - 2021. And honestly, the airlines have apparently all fallen so deep into the abyss that having plans right now would be a special kind of stress that I don't need in my life.

Just got back from a week in Myrtle Beach. We do a 4 day trip to a cabin in the mountains (western Maryland) every fall to see the leaves change. Have 2 week Disney/ universal trip planned for after thanksgiving, a 5 day universal only trip planned for late January, and a 3 week trip planned in late June to Europe (France, Italy and Switzerland Alps). Then after that nothing until our cabin trip the following fall. Thank God DH makes his own schedule so he can take off whenever and I’m only part time so I can as well.

None yet. We have to make a trip to Texas to help close out my wife's stepmother's house, but that will be by car, and not a vacation and maybe not until October. Don't know when yet and the last three weeks have not been encouraging regarding covid.

That sounds very attractive to me, actually. One thing I would LOVE to have the time for is extended road trips, whether for necessity or just fun. I feel the call of the open road! :drive:

None. I usually only take one trip a year for/around my birthday in May. I still want to make the planned trip to Disneyland but that likely won't happen. :(

A few things--there's a ranch we go to every summer. We didn't go this year, because we went to Hawaii instead, so we'll go over Christmas. It should be fun, we've never been in winter before. Where we currently live, there's no real snow, so we're looking forward to skiing and tubing and so forth.

Next summer, it's back to the ranch. I won't be travelling much, but DS16 will be going to France, Germany, and South Korea. The South Korea trip will be for the Boy Scout World Jamboree. My husband will be going, too. So, they'll have a good time.

2024 is pretty vague--with 3 in college (DS16 starts dual enrollment this week), I have no idea of schedules, internships, summer classes, etc.

None actually booked right now. 🙁

(But we did just get back from a visit to upstate NY a couple of days ago, so I can't complain.)

A couple of tentative ideas for Maine weekends this fall, and hopefully a Florida trip over DS's college break.
