of Easter vacation do your kids, or you, get from school?

The mayhem starts here at 2:35 pm today.
My kids will have 16 days off (including weekends).

I am actually looking forward to having a break from the regular schedule.

I predict that the first 5 days will be fun.

the boys have all ready had spring break but they do get off next Friday and Monday.

Mine already had a 9 day Spring Break, too. They're out for Good Friday, and that's it.

On the plus side, school gets out the 3rd week in May.

Here its "April vacation" and its the week of Patriots Day. Usually its just a week, but where Easter falls this year, they get Good Friday off, then the whole next week. So, it works out to be a little longer this year.

Schools here in Tampa area already had their Spring Break in March.

No days off for Easter, not even Good Friday!

DD starts her spring vacation on Good Friday and will have off until April 28th.

No days off for me though. I still have to go to work.

DS starts his Spring long weekend Fri the 18th and will be back in school Wed the 23rd. So he'll be "off" 5days including the wknd. Since Patriot's day is that Mon I'll have a 3day weekend with him.

They were due to have the entire week off the 21st but because the new high school was not ready to be opened when school was first suppose to go begin last Aug the entire town went back a week late. They took a few days off April vacation to make up for it.

Our Easter holiday is the Thursday and Friday before the weekend and the monday after.

No other days off in the spring.

I've read several of you referring to "Patriot's Day"? What is that? I've never heard of it...

Patriots day is a Massachusetts holiday, celebrated on the 3rd Monday in April. It commemorates the battle of Lexington/Concord, Paul Reveres ride and all that stuff. It is also the day the Boston Marathon is run.

My boys are off from tomorrow until the day after Easter. Thank heavens the weather is supposed to improve. We just bought a new basketball set up. Hopefully DH will get it installed this weekend. We have our own business, so DH and I will play tag team with taking care of the boys. Most likely I'll be home most of the time.

Geez, I forgot that this is the last day before vacation until you brought it up . Good mom, huh?! LOL.
