How Many From Michigan??

I know where New Boston is too!! Us "downriver" people are few and far between aren't we? No one ever knows where Riverview is either....they always say "River-where?"

Been to Riverview, but I must admit I've only "heard of" New Boston. Sibley Road, however, I have taken many times as my aunt lives in WOodhaven. DOes anyone remember the train made out of Christmas lights that always used to be on Sibley towards 275? That was always a highlight of our CHristmas visit!

Flint checking in here! My first visit to WDW was in 1997 - stayed offsite with relatives. I am in the process of planning a Grand Gathering for a total of 9 family members for Sept of 2006. Great to see so many of us Michiganders!!

Hello from Holland! I'm actually a transplant of 5+ years...we moved here for DH's job. He's from Traverse City originally (and still has family there) and I'm from Honolulu, HI. Nice to see so many Hollanders, and other Michiganders out there! Hope those of you going to WDW soon have a great trip! We just went in April and DH says it's going to be a couple of years before we can get back...

It's great to see all the Michigan WDW lovers. My family lives in Canton Twp. and just got back on July 31st. Going back with more ppl in June of 06. Can't wait, we just check off the days until we go back. First we have to make it through anouther Michigan winter, now that stinks.

We're south of K-zoo. We leave 8/20 for our second family WDW vacation. DH and I went in '91 for our honeymoon. We are driving our 6 kids down, so pray for us! LOL (Even with a 15 passenger van it is still cheaper to drive than to fly 6 kids!) We will stop in Chattanooga on the way down.
We homeschool, but my dh is a late in life student at WMU, so we have to fit the trip in between classes. Nice to meet you all!

We're from south of Battle Creek. I did graduate from Birmingham, though.

I was told I could have only 1 drivers lic. and wasn't ready to give up my MI. one can we have a Fl. Id and keep our MI. drivers lic? I know this is a touchy subject so you can pm me.

Novi checking in....DH,Mom,Sister and two nieces, my youngest adult DD (lives in Va.) and her boyfriend and his parents will be at WDW Xmas 2005. DH and I will be staying from 12/19 until 1/3. We are staying at Saratoga Springs and OKW (DVC members). DH and I spending time before guests come and after they leave.

I need to get over to sommerset and get some new jeans at jjill soon. Man it is getting chilly out. I dread Michigan winters. I wish I could spend more of it in FLA.

Hi! Hi Everyone! I know what you mean... it's getting pretty chilly outside, especially at night! I'm in trouble this winter... I got used to FL heat! We were in Florida in June, July and August of this year! I am already wearing a light jacket during the day time! Crazy huh?!

I know exactly where 12 and Woodward... I am not far from you! I like Somerset Mall... they usually carry my size in shoes and clothes. Anyways... Thanks for letting me post here!

Hi all you Michigan folks

I'm in Chesterfield Twp. right now but we are getting the house ready to put on the market. Hopefully in the next week. It's not the best time to try and sell a house but we'll give it a go anyway. We are looking to move to Oxford area. There is a development there called Waterstone. It reminds me of being in Disney, sort of like Oakland County's version of Celebration, FL.

Looking at where everyone is from, so many cities are familiar. I lived in Eastpointe for years, Macomb Twp., Harper Woods, Berkley (for 4 months), weekend getaways at the family cottages in Sand Lake & Grayling.

We are heading to Disney this October to nosh around World Showcase!! I've gotta go sign up for the DIS meet on the 17th!!

We will be heading out the week before spring break for Saratoga Springs for 8 days and then to Vero Beach for 4 days. Making plans to meet my college (FSU - FERRIS NOT FL) room mate and her family for Dinner at Disney. Pretty sad when you have to go all the way to FL to meet your friend who lives an hour and a half away in MI!?

Holly, the last outpost of Oakland County, checking in here! I work in Flint, DH in Waterford, we own a cabin in the UP, so being near 75 is perfect for us! He grew up in Highland/Milford area, I grew up in Commerce. He's a Wolverine and I try not to hold it against him, I'm a.. ahem.. golden grizzly. No laughing! We're all over the state most weekends with DS's hockey.

BTW... our next WDW trip would be... Hmmmm... still thinking... We just got back about 2 weeks ago!! So not sure yet... hopefully in December during the Holiday.
