How many DVCs will be trying to book CCV at 8am on the 26th?

Was anybody able to scavenge any dropped reservations? I've been trolling the website, but I haven't had any luck for my desired stay. Not too surprised that no-one wanted to switch from Beach Club to CCV during Columbus Day Weekend, but there was always hope.

No luck yet for someone dropping BWV labor day weekend. Long shot I know.

I'm on hold trying to drop a 2BR at Beach Club and to book a 2BR at CCV, over Columbus Day! But Oct 7 and 8 have disappeared while I've been on hold for the past hour so I'm going to have to settle for switching out Oct 12-15 instead. Hoping they don't get snatched up too while I'm holding!

Except you have two sides of Copper Creek to have a water view as has been reported previously that both sides of that wing of WL had lake and pool views. Only half of BRV will have water views.

Technically true but while most CCV rooms will have a straight on pool view, you will have to go on your balcony for a full lake view. If you can get a water view at BRV, you will have a straight on pool view with the lake beyond.

I joined the frenzy and swapped out my Oct. 13-15 1-bdrm Jambo for a 1-bdrm at CCV. Cost me 12 additional points but I figured that it will probably be a long time before I'll be able to get in at CCV in the future and I've already done a couple of stays at AKV.

I tried to book online, but the availability was all but trustworthy, so I ended up with nothing

Think i'll put in a WL for my days in november.

chances are slim they will come through, but I have my backup so i'm good.

Considering I have always gotten the bus side at BRV for me booking CCV would be better for a lakeview.

I just cannot spend more points for a reservation! Even my BLT stay in August is less than it would be in CC because its standard view. I will try sometime when I have a VWL (BR) then it will be same number of points.

Seems that I had some luck afterall, my WL for CCV during Wine and Dine in november just came through

I was on the fence about changing out my AKV for CCV in early/mid-November, but couldn't help trying. I knew I would never call in, so I checked online this morning starting at about 9:05 EST. Availability [studio with walk in shower] was extremely erratic and kept changing from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 nights available - then nothing - then all dates - then nothing again. It was really wild!

The first 2 times I was able to lock in availability the website glitched and wouldn't show any contracts with points, which was inaccurate, so I lost both those. I then tried again on my iPhone [through Safari] and was able to get it booked that way.

I now have a 3/5 split stay at AKV/CCV for that time frame. I am just hoping the Christmas decorations and/or tree will be up at one of them, but it will be iffy.

I switched our reservation for a 1 bedroom at Boulder Ridge to a 1 bedroom at CCV successfully this morning for the dates of Nov 18-25th. Didn't wait to long to get on the phone, but the system kept glitching so I got put on hold several times before they could fix the problem.

Called this morning exactly at 0900 and was on hold for about 30 minutes wait, but was able to change our Mid July BLT reservation to CCV!
Hopefully all the construction will be done by then.

I hit book now and got booted. Twice! Got on the phone with the cast member within the 20 minute window and he told me that if I dropped the hold on the room and refreshed my page he would be able to grab it for me which did not work.

Spent hours today on this. So bummed. Send some pixie dust my way that a wait list comes through.

Was on hold for 1 hour after two phone calls. Three of us were calling from 8:55am and still no luck. November for a 2 bedroom was all gone by the time we finally got thru.. Maybe something will turn up later.

I was able to switch our 8 night 1-bedroom BRV reservation over to CCV by 9:13. I checked availability about an hour later and some of our dates were already unavailable, and someone else had scooped up some of what I released at BRV. Soooo glad this went smoothly, and glad I was able to do by phone rather than having to use the online 2 browser method. I was very nervous about that!

I actually did the 2 browser method and it worked out fine. I have done this many times in the past and never had a problem. However, I was only booking one night and if I had lost both reservations, it would have been ok because I knew I could get something somewhere. I am excited though to have a Copper Creek studio/with shower for our arrival night. We don't care for the BR villas (too dark for us), but I like the look of the new Copper Creek décor.

Just came back to add that I cancelled my Copper Creek studio for 9/7 this morning and it was still available a couple of minutes ago, so if anyone needed that one night, the waitlist did not grab it.

My add-on points came thru this morning and I was able to book my first night's stay in a VGF GV, so I now have my whole trip there. So excited.
