How many DVC'rs (except for these boards) do you think are really CLUELESS ??

How sad! Think of all those wonderful vacations missed due to points expiring. Having said that, I think I am pretty meticulous when it comes to vacation planning, but I got a surprise on Tuesday this week. We had 66 banked points that will expire on December 1st, so what did we do - book an unexpected trip to OKW in September. We had banked points for a trip this past January where we took 10 members of my family and didn't use all of them up. We have another trip planned for December this year. A little voice was nagging at me last weekend about possibly having more points than we thought so my DH called Tuesday and what a great surprise. I think I am pretty knowledgeable about my DVC but this one caught me by surprise.

Well, no offense to the person you met, but she is not the brightest bulb in the fixture. Even if you are not a Disney freak, it's a financial investment, and doing what she's doing is just throwing money away!!! If there was a yer where I couldn't go, even if I didn't want to hassle with selling points, I'd give them to someone to use.

I found out about the DIS from a coworker. I've leaned quite a lot since then. We joined DVC on the suggestion of someone that had enough points left over for a quick overnite from Chicago back in 1994. They suggested that, since it was supposed to rain the next day, we might like to take the tour. I was sold on the fact that some of the folks that owned at DVC (OKW) were famous. So far, the only famous ones that I've met have been Disney characters .... But you know, that's just fine with me!!! I still haven't gotten DW to check out the DIS. She still thinks that computers are meant for games, word processing, and email. Hasn't even tried to access DVCmember.com yet.

Just about everyone is clueless about some aspect of their lives. You can't be an expert on everything in your life.

BTW, the midnight show starts at 11:45. If you thought it started at midnight, you're out of luck.

Maybe you are clueless in other parts of your life? Do you want those posted on an internet board.

Technically, it would be libelous. Slander is defamation through the spoken word. Libel is defamation through the printed word. Don't want anyone to be mis-clued about the difference.

On topic, DVC membership is going to be made of all sorts of people who fit in different demographics. While I personally don't understand how -anyone- can not want to know everything they possibly can about how something that interests them actually works, most people probably learn the basics and get on with life. How many of us really know how the internal combustion engine works (and even more importantly, what the heck Octane really means) yet we almost all drive or ride in automobiles or buses.

My problem is I think I reached my Kelly Bundy limit. all this new information keeps overwriting the old stuff I learned.
