How Many DVC Points Puts you in the BIG Category?

[...] Even at resale prices over the last 10 years, the average price for those points has to be around 70-72 per point(obviously that depends on where the points are from)- but using the low end of 70 per point, this individual has spent almost a quarter of a million dollars on points?? and that does not included closing costs, and maintenance, which assuming the points are all from OKW, would still be well over $10,000.00 per year- [...]

While certainly out of my league, I do have some relatives (distant ) who have spent a quarter.of.a.million on a vacation home.... In addition, given the relative ease of renting out DVC points, a BIG owner could easily rent out most of their holdings.

I'm curious: for the BIG owners, what percentage of their holdings do they use for personal/unpaid-guest use, and what % do they rent?

I think 500 is BIG. 1000 is huge. 2000 is astronomical!

DH thinks we have 2000. I don't have the heart to tell him we only have 385.

I get emails all the time, promising me 'HUGE ADD ONS' ( If you know what I mean! ) and I always wondered how they knew that I wasn't in the HUGE or ASTRONOMICAL categories.

(I mean herbal this, enlarge that, satisfy them emails, atleast 10 a day!)

Now I know the DVC gave out my email addy! Those stinkers...

It's not the size of your points, it's how you use them that counts.
