After I used the dishwasher soap and drained, I would refill the tub and run it again just to make sure the soap was out of the system(aka the rinse cycle).
edk35, aren't you going in a few weeks? Have a great time!
Yea, why wouldn't mousekeeping clean it out??? Isn't that what they get paid for?![]()
A bit too wasteful for my tastes - and I'm not sure how effective the dishwashing power would be.Most folks recommend filling the tub with hot water and pouring in some dishwasher powder, run for a few minutes..drain.

Nah, we're not that clean when we hop into the tub anyway. And we're going to use some soap sometime during the soak. I seldom drink the water from the jacuzzi anymore.![]()
Anyway, it's got to be cleaner than SAB or the hot tub at the pool.
The people before us must have taken an oatmeal bath because it was nasty.
I even used dishwasher soap and just kept getting more and more oatmeal out of the jets. I created a huge job for myself because I didn't want to leave it that way or not to mention, let the kids get in the tub. I think I used a whole roll of paper towels and literally had to scoop out the oatmeal. YUK!
