How many days?

We are DW veterans but have never gone to DL before, thinking of heading out in May. Curious how many days does it take to really see the parks? We typically go hard all day long, rest is for when you get home. Is 3 days enough?

Any perks for staying onsite? After hours or early entrance?

Thanks

3-4 is fine for DL. We went for 4 days the last time and were ready to go home, as bad as that sounds.

You used to get early hour for DCA, which is a huge bonus for Cars.

Also, this would probably be a better topic for the DL board.

We are WDW and DLR vets... We are not go hard all day long kinda visitors, more like stop and smell the roses. Having said that we like a minimum of 3 full days with hopper but almost always book 5 days and smell a lot of roses!

We do 5 days, hoppers, when we go to DL.
I do not subscribe to the go hard theory. I tried that and by the end, the entire trip was horrible. I get much more out of the trip when I get to stop and truly enjoy the parks.

I went last year during the no fastpass era with two day tickets for my first trip. I did Disneyland beginning of the day to the end and California Adventure I took a mid-day break since it was the second day in a row. In California Adventure I felt I like I did it all to my satisfaction. Disneyland there were several things I would have liked to try that I didn't get to, but I did hit everything major that was on my list. Two days worked, but ideally I would have wanted one more day for Disneyland.

So three is my vote. Is five park days enough for you in Disney World? If so, I would think three would be enough in Disneyland.

Appreciate the feedback. I think we are looking at doing 3 days and then take a couple of days to explore LA. I'm hoping DL will cost us less at meal time than DW.

If this needs to be moved to a different forum that's ok with me. I never know where to post things since there are so many :)
