Thinking about a trip in early May. Is 6 nights too many? We would have 5 days to spend in parks. just wanted to see if this was too many days. It's our first trip. My youngest will be 5 so he won't e able to ride everything.

Hmm, this may be the wrong group to ask this question. For me, 14 days would not be long enough.:rotfl2: For a first trip, I think it's fine. There is so much to see and do, you can take your time a little and not be rushed and overwhelmed. Do your homework and have a plan before you go so that you don't waste precious time trying to figure things out on the fly. We took my boys for 10 days when the older guy was 4 and the little guy was 5 mos old. It was a big family trip, I didn't think that a 5 mo old needed to be in Disney, but we had a great time, took days off, rented a boat out of the CR where we were staying. I worry about a trip being too short, never worry about it being too long...

I would say that is plenty of time. We usually spend 3 1/2 days at US. That's plenty of time for us to see and do everything we want. But we always stay onsite and use the unlimited Express pass, early entry into the parks and take a mid-day break.

5 days is not too many days for Universal.

If you are staying on site you will be able to enjoy the parks and what the resort has to offer as well. You won't be rushed to do anything and can take it at your own pace. The unlimited Express Pass when you stay on site is invaluable, I have no idea how busy the parks are at that time but others on here will be able to advise you on that.

We stay a lot longer than that and are never ready to leave.......the Universal parks are amazing.

Have you looked at the universal website to see what's on offer and what your son will be able to do? It's a great place to start and see what's there for all of you :)

op, you'll do fine with your stay on being occupied with fun on your vacation.

last month i was there 11 days staying onsite.

i relaxed so much, i didn't get to do everything i had planned to do........
and i went solo.
i needed a few more days.
