I was watching the Weather Channel and it says scattered showers everyday so far next week....is this the normal afternoon showers/downpour? I just hope we have some time without rain! Oh well, at least we will be in WDW! It has been raining here (WI) for the past 5 days and the rest of the week says rain, rain, rain! When they say rain around here it is all day! Our dock on the lake is actually under water now due to all the flooding....I am thinking about building an ark

I hear that!!!!!!!!!!!! We are (luckily!) not in a flood plain here, but I can't believe that rain!!!! We're in WI too, and seriously, this is crazy!!!! Looks like today is a complete washout too. You'd better get packing! I'm jealous!!

TEN more days! Almost in the single digits... get ready, 'cause I'll be doing some serious DANCING!

Ellasgirls: FL rain this time of year is usually not all day long. Esp if it says scattered showers, they will just be short bursts of mild to heavy rain in very localized areas. In FL, it could be pouring across the street but dry on the other side! I just love the parks in the rain... so many people leave because they think it will last a long time or ruin their day. Just stick around, get a little wet & cool off, or duck into an indoor ride/show. It doesn't usually last long. Last year at MGM it started to rain, we ducked under a staircase to put on our ponchos, and by the time we got them on & came back out again, the rain had stopped!!

I have to laugh when I see people running for the bus shelter in the pouring rain. Do they think running is going to keep them drier? They are already wet! Just remember that the sun will come back out and dry you off quickly, and then you'll be wishing for some more sprinkles in that awful heat. Oh and another tip: Bring your own ponchos! You can get them at the camping section of Target for $0.89 each, or sometimes 2/$1 at the dollar store. It's much better than spending $7 each on the WDW ones, which are heavier and impossible to fold back up to a decent size! The cheap ones are great because you can buy a lot and just toss 'em when you're done, or pass them along to someone going on a wet ride, or fold them back up to use again later and they fit in a pocket. Easy peasy!
