Sounds good. July can be very crowed around the 4th and weekends, to comfortably crowded.

I'd say 3-5 days. 3 if all regular weekdays, add a day or two if you are going on a holiday or weekend. This will let you have time to see and do it all. The big night shows, parades, and your favorite attractions a couple times, without rushing.

So your thoughts look good.

I don't know if that's such a good question to ask on the DISboards, most of us will tell you you should plan on going 365 days of the year, if at all possible. :lmao:

I think 4 days is a good for going a leisurely pace, you get everything done in pretty much 3 days, but you have the 4th day as a buffer so you don't feel rushed and you can re-ride your favs.

Yeah 3 days would be fine durring an off season or less crowded time but five would be best when its really crowded which July will be.

I'm another who says five would be best, but go with four if that's all the time you have. Five gives you the opportunity to go at a more leisurely pace, repeat more favorites, and take in the maximum amount of nighttime entertainment.

It depends on your goals. Most people do day trips to DLR. But such folks can only do a fraction of the parks. With all the new things coming to DLR then three days is a stretch to have a solid experience. Can you have tons of fun in three days? Of course! But four days will allow you to experience the parks in a more complete way.

IMO the big issue with how many days you need revolves a lot around the entertainment. Here are the big entertainment options you will likely want to see:

1. World of Color (2-3 times each night in the summer)
2. Fantasmic (twice a night)
3. Fireworks (once a night)
4. Aladdin (daily)
5. SoundSational parade (probably twice a day)

With numbers 1-3 above, that really requires three evenings right there - unless you rush and cram in Fantasmic and fireworks on the same night. Thus on a three day stay all three of your evenings have a big chunk dedicated to a show - leaving less time for doing rides at night.

Four days will let you see each evening show and have at least one free evening to just experience the parks.

I would suggest 5, if possible. We did that the last 2 trips that we took, and it worked out perfectly. Mainly because they had a promotion of "buy 3, get 2 free" so who could resist that?? ;) It gives you a lot of time for leisurely strolling around and you get to do everything you want to do (and more) like just sitting and watching people go by, eating a Mickey bar or Dole Whip, going on the big Mark Twain paddlewheeler (very relaxing for a break from the crowds, and normally lots of room to stretch out) we also did the canoes, which was fun! I love riding the train around the park, sitting up front on the monorail, strolling through Downtown Disney and shopping at the World of Disney, riding the Jungle Cruise at night! Oh my gosh, I can't wait! We go at the end of May, and I sure hope that the Little Mermaid ride is open!! ;) Have fun!!!

Are you traveling with kids? If so, I'd definitely go more than 4. We like 5-6 with the kids. Without kids 4-5 days.

4-5 days. The past two summer's they have done a 5 for 3 deal if you stay at one of their resorts. Maybe they will do it again? The offer doesn't usually happen until late march or early april though. We thought 5 days was perfect. We were able to just take our time and relax. One day we stayed around the resort and just swam, shopped, and went to the ocean for half the day. It's nice to have off days even when your at the resort. I understand your taking more time for that area of California but its nice to build in extra down time.

The Dobies like to arrive around noon or so, stay four nights, and leave around noon or so on the fifth day.

Our family of three thought we "had it all planned" in October '07 when we bought 5 day parkhoppers. Friends here at home told us we could see everything in "2-3 days max."
They were wrong! We had a wonderful trip, saw wonderful shows, rode TONS of rides, but on the flight departing John Wayne airport, as I looked out across the skyline, I realized we didn't GO THROUGH SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE. At all. Went all around it, never walked through the drawbridge.

Next visit: 6 day park hoppers. We will definately go through that drawbridge.

My family never does less than 6 days but we prefer to go for 10-14 days. We take everything in, enjoy downtown disney, use the pools, eat out for dinner, see both parks and just take in all the beautiful landscaping while taking our time. NOTHING is worse on vacation then being in a rush. (IMO) We venture out to the beach and usually Sea World or the zoo on our long visits but always love to come home to our Disney Villa or Disney hotel. Maybe we are weird but just staying on site and having the ability to hop back and forth to the parks during our stay is great. With a 5 or 6 day hopper being their longest pass (without going to a season pass) I would opt for atleast 5 days. Whatever you do you will have a great time.

Also, depends on the AGES of who's going. When our kids were younger (ages 3-5) 3 days was the MAX. They were over-Disney'd by the 3rd day and ready to go home. Older than that can handle a few more days. Of course, the more days you have, the more you feel like you can arrive late, leave early, etc since you have so much time available. 5 days is the max I'd go. Its enough to do everything twice over and then some.

If u are going during the summer I would say 5 full days is good..we love to see all the shows, parades, ride all the rides tons of times and eat alot too,lol..I have a family of 5 and ever since my kids were small we would go from 5days up to 9 days during xmas time..just use the fast passes and u will beable to do everything u want to do

P.S.~the link for the maps is at the bottom of my sig. click on that that and it will take you to the 1st post of the thread, then at the bottom of that post is another link-click that to get a photo of what the christmas maps look like! :flower: that is the only photo i have available till i get new maps for this month!

I think this thread just answered a question I asked somewhere else. :) 4-5 days for sure!
