How many days out to link to MDE?

I realise my booking is a long way in advance.
I realise I still have 299 days to wait...
but I am excited, damnit! This is my first WDW visit and I want to play with MDE!

I called WDTC again today, to ask about the 12 digit code I need to link with.
The CM I spoke to last week said "I don't know- try in a few weeks"...
Today I was told "oh, not before 200 days out, but most likely 190 days out" She seemed to think that was because we were staying at a DDV rather than a "regular" resort.

I've heard a lot about CMs just making stuff up or giving the wrong answer, so I'm trying you knowledgeable bunch! As I've mentioned before, I've read the following on the WDW site:

I’m staying at Old Key West or Saratoga Springs – why can’t I link my reservation?
If you’re still more than 10 months away from your holiday arrival date and are staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort or Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa your reservation may not have yet downloaded to My Disney Experience to be linked. Rest assured your reservation is guaranteed, but until you’re within 10 months of arrival it unfortunately can’t be linked in My Disney Experience.

Ive had mine from about 360 days, I found emailing them was best.
Some people seem to really struggle getting the number from them though.

I asked something similar and it seems to depend who you get on the phone!

I will probably try at the six month mark, only the five months to wait then...

I spent a whole hour on the phone with their IT support this evening, who said it couldn't be accessed sooner because of my dining package(??!)... He even suggested it might not be linkable by 180 days out, so I think I'll try again around 200 days out, and start getting cross if the link is not there by 190 days.... I do not want to be unable to try get an ADR for BOG!

Ok you guys are way more patient than me. The CM is talking nonsense. It is quite common to get conflicting info depending who you speak to. Just call the number for WDTC and ask them for it. If you get told blah blah blah wait .... thank them, hang up and redial. Someone WILL be able to give it to you. It's not that they can't - it's that they don't all seem to know how or that they can

Booked room (SSR) with free DDP and park tickets direct from WDTC via their UK website.

Nope, booked my flights separately.

I got mine at exactly 499 days out and got it linked to MDE. Can't do much with in now though as it is way too far out .... we don't go till Oct next year but it is nice to see it there

I booked an inclusive package with Ocean Florida that included flights, hotel, UK Ultimate tix and free DDP

You need to try WDTC UK - they will be able to give it to you if you get the right CM.

Just so you know ADRs are 180 days from check in plus the next 10 days - not 190 days

What is the number for the UK branch?

The IT guy suggested I might not be linked till March.... which is after 180 days...

Yeah, tried that one twice... First said a couple of weeks, other said bit before 190 days.

Just called for our July trip and got the number straight away and we are over 250 days out.

Keep trying is all I can suggest

Thank you for your help I think I might leave it till next week, as work has been crazy today, and all I need is chocolate and a big cup of tea.

I'm glad to know yours worked though- have you got the dining plan with yours? We're staying at SSR, and one of the CMs blamed the fact that we were staying in a DDV, but as you're at OKW that can't be the problem!

Yep DDP at OKW - she did say she wasn't sure if it would be there but as soon as she looked she gave it to me.
