I am planning to spend six days at disney. As it stands now, im planning on spending 2.5 days at MK with EMH, 1 day at MGM with EMH, 1 day at AK with EMH, and 1 day at epcot with EMH...is this too much time at MK, I'm going for my honeymoon and my fiance has NEVER been to disney at all. Any thoughts?!?

It just depends on how your tastes run. For some people, that would be perfect, but others might want more time in some of your 1-day-only parks.

I played it by ear this time -- we went to each park one day each for our first 4 days, then I had a best-parks-day list to help us decide which parks to do which days for the rest of our trip. We ended up doing 3 AK days because our group loved it so much, even though I've often heard it said that AK only takes a half day to 'do'! We had 3 MK days, too, though, and I do think those days were some of my favorites.

One suggestion: get the bride-and-groom ears with the veil and top hat. We saw several of those in the parks, and the honeymooners got a LOT of extra pixie dust and attention :)

Congratulations, and I hope you have an absolutely magical honeymoon!

I would give at least another 1/2 day for Epcot. With all the great food (& drink) & things to see in World Showcase, you'd need at least 1 1/2 days to do Epcot right (imo).

Hound ::yes::

I really think Epcot is a 2-day park ... 1.5 days minimum with an evening included. I think MGM could be done in 1-day with some planning around the show times. MK is probably more than 1-day depending on the rides you want to go on. AK is probably a 1-day park. But ... that said, I can keep going back and finding more things to do! It's kind of fun to go at a slower pace and enjoy more sights and sounds.

DH and I went for 6 days in September. Monday was Epcot, Tuesday was Magic Kingdom, Wednesday was MGM, Thursday was 1/2 day at AK and then rest of the day at Epcot (dinner reservations), Friday we rested that morning and then went back to Epcot (more dinner reservations) and Saturday we finished at Magic Kingdom. I think it really just depends on a variety of things. We probably wouldn't have gone to Epcot for 3 days if it wasn't for the food, however, we did get the chance to do Soarin', Turtle Talk and some of our other favorites more than once.
We went on our honeymoon in '99 and had a blast with no real plan of when to do anything. So maybe just play it by ear and let the magic lead you.
Have a great trip

How much is needed:

MK: 2
Epcot: 2
AK: 1
MGM:1

How much do I spend:

MK: 4 (and I hop over there occasionally)
Epcot: 3
AK: 2
MGM: 1 or 2

Epcot is definitely a 2 day park...
Why don't you make sure that you purchase a park hopper ticket and then be a little flexible? If you find that you need a little less time in one park and a little more time in another...you have that option. :thumbsup2
We always get the park hopper and spend the time wherever we want...

As the consensus seems to be, you definitely should consider uping your time spent at Epcot. The park is HUGE with both World Showcase and visiting the countries, lots and lots of walking. Then there is Illuminations at night. With no children you can savor alot of Epcot as imo it is the most "adult" park. We find that AK is easy to do in less than a day. MGM is also a one day park for us as long as you can get in Fantasmic. MK is so much fun whether you are a kid or not. Taking the time to just sit on a bench in front of the castle with your sweetheart and take it all in is a luxury my husband and I did on our honeymoon that we have yet to be able to recreate with the kids there.

Anyway, I vote for more time at Epcot!

I agree with all the other posts about needing more time at Epcot. You can enjoy the World Showcase in a relaxed way if you get the Park Hopper option and hop over there for dinner occasionally. It's nice to do other parks durning the day and hop over to Epcot at night to enjoy the atmosphere and all the great food.

Spend a day in each park, leaving your last full day free. Then decide which park you want to visit again.

MK: 1 1/2 - 2 (depending on tastes) It's one for us but I grew up going every year when that's all there was.
Epcot: 2 full days - especially if hasn't been
AK: 1
MGM: 1

We find it helpful to make our ADRs and then plan which days at which parks based on that - though I'm sure you've thought of that. And don't forget an evening at DTD or Boardwalk - Maybe your first night or the day you do AK.

We are doing 6 days at WDW this Jan- we are splitting it up as follows:
MK- 1 1/2 days :stitch2:
EP- 1 1/2 days :figment:
MGM- 1 day :happytv:
AK- 1 day :simba:
DTD- 1 day princess: for BBB appointment and resort for relaxing :sunny:

I believe you CANNOT do it ALL in one trip and shouldn't try but I allow the following

1 1/2 days MK

2 days Epcot

1 day MGM

1/2 - 3/4 day AK

1/2 day Downtown Disney
