I'm going to Disney in Dec. I know Disney inside & out but haven't been there since 2009. It's just going to be my boyfriend & I so how many days do you think will be necessary? Is a lot of Fantasyland going to be open by then? We're def. going to do MVMCP & possibly Candlelight processional...it's a toss up to go 6 nights/5 days or 5 nights/4 days....help is appreciated as I wanna book asap!

Well first you will have more days than nights (example: 5 nights/6 days) and you book and pay for based on the number of nights. Just the old travel agent in me coming out. But for how long you’ll need all depends on how much you want to do. Also, travelling in December can be really busy or really slow depending on what time of the month you go. Since you know Disney and aren’t a first timer you know best what you would like to do and just estimate how much time you think you’ll need based on if it will be slow or busy when you go.

Or my actual answer: At Disney, longer is always better! :rotfl:

I would travel early in the month and stay for five nights at a Disney hotel if your budget will allow it. You can avoid renting a car and use their bus/monorail system to get around the world. Have fun with the planning and your trip!

So, must do activities in December are:

Hollywood Studios - Osborne Lights (my favorite of all)

Magic Kingdom - MVMCP (since you already said you were going)

Epcot - Candlelight Processional AND holidays around the world AND Eat/Drink Around the World Showcase (such fun!!)

Animal Kingdom - I just love the Jingle Jungle Parade...

So, personally I would say 2 days at Epcot, and one everywhere else.

If you are there early December, it won't be too bad. Once you get to the week before Christmas, it will be very busy!

i'll be going around dec. 5th or 6th till the 10th or 11th! so it's over 2 weeks before Christmas! I'm probably going to take an evening flight out- around 5:30pm & get there around 8:30pm so that I wake up & I'm there! So I'm thinking Weds night till Mon or Thurs night till Tues. & the day I leave, I won't be taking a super early flight...maybe more mid-afternoon so I could have some of the morning & not rush out...

Does anyone know the Candlelight processional guests yet?

DisneyHolic..yes, I want to do all the Christmas festivities! I'm going to do MVMCP on the Friday night...

I'm also hoping most of Fantasyland will be open by then..is there a link that has a lot of info & updates?

Thanks so much for your help!
